Good short term
Sales Executive (Current Employee) - Essex - 5 December 2023
Good short term, you can earn great, but it’s getting saturated and the company change the goal posts every 4 months. Sometimes you earn sometimes you don’t.

Retentions Advisor (Former Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear - 13 November 2023
Company lies to customers, bonus structure changes constantly stopping you have the potential to earn. If youre off sick you’re made to believe you will be sacked instantly.

I've worked at worse places, training was good and comprehensive, and seem to treat their staff well. I only left as a better opportunity came along for me

Currently work here
Customer Support Advisor (Current Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear - 18 October 2023
Management takes nothing seriously unless it makes them look good or bad. We have been made to take toilet breaks out of our hour break and they get to go out for between 4-6 smoke breaks at 15 minutes each. There is hardly ever any support on the floor and to be honest we don’t get paid enough to deal with the types of managers we have on top of the customers that call through to us on a daily basis.

Avoid like the plague
Alarm receiving ambassador (Former Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear - 5 October 2023
Run by monkeys treat like dogs The Arc is supposed to be the main selling point of the organisation but routinely only has 6 staff working meaning alarms are dealt with well behind time. The management are a joke and play favourites and persecute those they don’t like. Pay is practically minimum wage and the management will find any reason they can to extend probations so they don’t have to pay you more. You’ll only get promoted if your face fits meanwhile seasoned staff get left by the wayside. Never work here, the jobs east when there are enough staff on shift but that’s once in a blue moon, you’ll routinely get well over a hundred calls a shift and be mentally and emotionally exhausted, meanwhile managers will sit by and talk on phones or go out for smokes often. They have a performance bonus but will often find ways to avoid paying this, one to ones never happen except for favourites. You’re an expendable number here not a person. Do yourself a favour and stay away

Friendly and helpful all the staff What is a typical day like for you at the company? Requires lot of information to intake and must know how to deliver results

Hard work, micro managed, constantly changing commissions structure
Security Consultant (Former Employee) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire - 1 October 2023
My experience here wasn’t great. I had worked in sales before so expected a bit of BS when it came to being told about the job. However, many of the things mentioned in the job advert aren’t true. Yes there is a company car available if you get through the trial period but, they charge you £150 a month for it, Plus they reduce your £100 install payment to £50 . Yes you get a fuel card but this is only for £150! Anyone who has worked in direct sales knows this will cover about 10 days driving per month. The job is essentially 4 roles in 1 across B2B andB2C sales. 1. Canvassing door to door 2. Sitting and selling sales appointments 3. Installing sold jobs 4. 3 months after sales with each customer. You get a basic min wage plus commissions and bonuses. On paper it looks fantastic but they always seem to find a way to not pay you properly. Sales roles are notoriously long hours and hard work but the efforts required here to make the role pay consistently are possible for about 5% of inductees. Not good

Awful company to work for.
Sales Executive (Former Employee) - Sheffield - 22 September 2023
Awful company to work for. They have high commission based wages but you better believe you will lose most of that due to company fines for things out of your control. Terribly run company. Long hours at work, you're expected to continue doing reports and customer care after you get home (usually around 8pm). Not to mention you get a £150 fuel allowance monthly but will usually spend upwards of £400 constantly driving across the country. They're happy to dismiss you at any given moment no matter how long you've been there or how successful you've been. I'd advise anyone thinking of working for Verisure to look elsewhere. Oh and finally the security services they "offer" and which you are required to sell are completely false. They offer a guard service which doesnt exist, and most of the products dont work as advertised. Worst job I ever had.

Great for established staff, very poor for new starters
Security Consultant (Former Employee) - North West - 30 August 2023
When you start working at Verisure you have to use your own car and your own fuel, there is no car allowance or fuel allowance (they say that they compensate for fuel by giving a bonus for carrying out installations, but until they have trained you to install in month 2, and then been signed off for installations in month 2 or 3 you cannot carry out installations. They might say that they will pay the bonus when one of your sales is installed, but that isn't correct. They say that after about 4 months you should qualify for a company car. It is virtually a commission only job because although they offer a minimum monthly pay of around £1500 this is offset against your commissions earned, so if you earn £1500 of commissions in a month, you still only get the basic £1500, you only make more than this if you make more than £1500 in commission. So if you made £2000 in commission, you would actually get your basic £1500 guarantee plus £500. New starters are pretty much left on their own to figure out what to do after the initial 3-4 day induction training. You are given about 2-3 company generated appointments each week, which are of dubious quality, if you don't sell at least 1 out of 3, they will withhold any more appointments for a while. Of course you are expected to cold call to generate your own appointments, but there isn't any training or assistance given with this. The idea is that you build on your sales by daily cold calling and also getting referrals, but at the beginning you don't have any customers to get referrals from and in the early days your conversion rate -
Pros
Free company jacket
Cons
Very poor pay structure, limited training, high cost to new starters to work for the company

Great entry into sales.
Sales Executive (Former Employee) - London South East, Greater London - 30 August 2023
If you work hard and listen to the training you will be rewarded. I had a very fair Manager who was good at his job. There are opportunities for progression if you want it.

Not treated like a person.
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear - 24 August 2023
Shocking work environment. Saved by underpaid staff who keep morale up. Managers ask for targets that can’t be reached. No real coaching for struggling staff, just threw to one side and forgotten.

Sales Executive (Current Employee) - Northampton, Northamptonshire - 8 August 2023
Job is not easy and not for everyone. Is a different day everyday but most of the places someone been there already is not and data base just a walk in the fog hard to find places and most of the time you drive around expensive job for starters and hard to get in to the habit. Not respectful customers they don t care

Quality team & atmosphere
Alarms Receiving Centre Ambassador (Former Employee) - Quorum - 25 July 2023
Good training, richie is one of the top notch trainers and the managers are incredible too. Really good work done by the teams and everyone in morning/afternoon/night shifts works their hardest. Like any place, it has the drama but that comes with being stuck together all day every day.
