Verisure Employee Review
Cold calling daily like running your own business
Security Consultant (Former Employee) - Bounds Green Road - 24 June 2022
Good in the sense that you can manage your own client base. Bad in the sense that whilst juggling your client base and cold calling to keep your sales and job, you have to carry out installs and there is never enough kit to go around. They call clients in your work phone without notifying you.
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, team working promoted but sales stolen

Decent

Long hours but there is definitely potential to make a lot of money. I make 8977 in one month, but did about 250 hours that month. So the potential is there but it’s a lot of work

Disorganised and messy
Security Consultant (Former Employee) - Southampton, Hampshire - 5 May 2022
Recent change in the commission structure means that you can sell and install several alarms in the month but you won’t get any commission for it if you don’t get 2 ‘cold’ sales (or self generates sales through cold canvassing). You get penalised £700 for conversion rate below 20%. The quality of leads is very poor, a lot of no shows and customers who simply weren’t made aware that it is a monitored alarm system that you need to pay monthly for. Lack of support or management, lack of organisation and structure. Continues technical problems with the installation of their new system. Although on paper the system is fantastic, looks great and its fairly easy to sell. The services Verisure offers to customers (smoke barriers and guards) are impressive . The customers are mostly put of by the monthly price. I enjoyed working with Verisure last year before they introduced the new commission structure. I was making very decent earnings but since the change you are gambling with your wages every month. You can have 10 alarms installed, worked 300h in the month and simply received basic min wage if you didn’t get the two cold sales. Very high staff turn over, stressful when theres no stock and your customers are waiting. Constant changes in pricing, commission and bonus structure. Literally every month there’s something that changed. If you make a mistake you will be heavily penalised. Restrictions on the amount of annual leave you can take on 4 month basis. The company car is almost impossible to get. They are switching to hybrid cars but they just don't have enough. -

Best looking elsewhere for a job
Security Consultant (Former Employee) - Leeds - 2 May 2022
It can be very stressful and very long hours when working for Verisure, some days you would leave early mornings and not get back till after 9 pm at night and if you haven’t brought in any cold sales for the week questions are asked, you have no job security with them at all so you start employment with them last about two months if you’re lucky or good at sales but the minute you have a bad month your done and replaced with the next victim.
