We have a competitive holiday allowance of 25 days that increases with length of service, bank holidays, and the ability to buy and sell an additional 3 days. Being a retail business we are open on some bank holidays and work on a rota basis in each of our stores. However you do have the ability to book this off in line with our holiday policy and discussions with the Store Manager.

Our holiday entitlement includes your bank holiday allowance. Any annual leave requests will need to be requested in line with our holiday policy.

Christmas Day is a public bank holiday and all of our stores are closed. Some of our stores are open on Boxing Day however you are able to book this off in line with our holiday policy and discussions with the Store Manager.

At Vision Express we do not have an employee discount scheme, instead we have a 100% voucher that each employee is entitled to each year. Alongside this we also provide a range of family and friends vouchers throughout the year.

You need to be active in the different stores and actually listen to your team as we have the most knowledge of your stores also for what we are expected to do the pay is far too small for a optical assistant who is silver trained also they training plans need to be more in depth and logical planned along with vision express ilearns.
The glazing centre always seem to have errors made when glaze which ends up in delay.

We currently have a 2 stage interview process.

Stage one is to allow us to get to know more about you and what you are looking for in your next role.

The second stage is to attend a trial for 2-3 hours where you will get to meet the team and find out more about the role.

At Vision Express we have set start dates to ensure that our new starters get access to our training program and start in line with our payroll cut off dates. We currently pay are employees on the last working day of each month.
