Ok people to work with

They are a recruitment company for placement based jobs but its not permanent work. You get varied work but must specify where you want to work. Their staff that do the recruitment / booking are ok, was given training required for my work as a Special Needs Support worker for a school nearby. All in all was ok people to work for if you're looking for temp work and you are inbetween jobs

Pros

Get to choose where you'd like to work e.g. schools

Cons

Not permanent work, low pay

Great work environment, fantastic managers

Everything from the day of my interview to the placements I have had has been great. The managers really listen to you, are easy to talk to, kind, compassionate and helpful. I have found my needs have always been met by my managers and I couldn’t recommend vision enough. You’re able to express your needs for work and what you’re looking to do and they will try to accommodate you as best as they can and put you in long term positions when and as they can if you’re looking for a bit more stability. You have the option to refuse shifts or schools if you’ve had bad experiences with them but I personally have not had a bad experience in any of the schools, they have all been welcoming and kind.

Pros

Great management

Good for starters within the industry

For myself wanting to get into teaching it is an excellent job as a first time. Getting paid teaching experience. The management at the Preston branch are extremely supportive and couldn’t ask for better management, understanding that I can only work part time due to my degree. There is always work available whenever you want/need it and weekly pay especially being a student is a bonus. However the day rate is quite low in comparison to other agencies and for some of the work I provided i believe i should be being paid significantly more, I am fluent in BSL due to my parents beinf deaf and have worked at a deaf unit school in preston on longer term placements, however was being paid the same rate as general cover. Due to my unique skill set which i believe is an asset to the agency/not many other, if any other employees have, I believe this is an underpayment based on what I can provide for vision.

Pros

Consistent work, weekly pay

Cons

Lower pay rates

Reliable and great team to work for

Vision is a great place to work for. I have worked with them for many months now and I am only leaving to work at a school full time. The app for shifts is great and easy to use. They cater the shifts around you and your schedule. Fantastic opportunity to meet different schools and get into teaching. Management have quick replies and are very approachable. Pay is weekly and always on time , it also goes up with the more experience you gain! Plenty of room for growth. Only con I would say is lack of work during school holidays!

Great company, communication is fast and thorough. Bookings are easy to come by and they are open to being flexible with your schedule. They cover a wide range of schools in the area.

Teaching assistant

Vision is a lovely company to work for everyone who I have spoken to about the job and the hole process of becoming a TA wasn’t difficult, and my placements so far have been great highly recommend working in this field. Every shift is different and always fun and interesting the little ones are great and you feel like you are making a difference.

Pros

The children are lovely

Cons

Not always regular work, but this is to be expected with agency work

Disappointed

This company tells you it has work when it does not have any work for you all the schools they work with already have their staff so you don’t really get a chance …

Pros

Shift is short

Cons

No support no shifts

A supportive and enthusiastic workplace

After entering into my initial conversation with Vision 4 Education to arriving at my first placement at an incredible SEND primary school in Gtr Manchester, I have been quick to be part of a progressive and inclusive group of people. They regularly checked in with me at the first few months and allowing me to fit in my art practice and working days I could each week throughout the year. An excellent working relationship with stability and time to build deep working relationships with the school.

Pros

Pressure free and supportive team

Cons

Good agency work

Overall I had a good experience with Vision for Education but they ran out of SEN Schools to send me to so I registered with a different agency. I enjoyed my first placement at springwell the most and was sad when I couldn't go back there after having to take time off due to my mental health

Teaching assistant

I was contacted in November. My dbs check came back in February. I have been waiting to get a placement since march to no avail. Spoke to an advisor from vision of education and was told I would need to do voluntary work, so I would have more chance in getting a placement. I didn't register with them to volunteer. Unfortunately I would not recommend working for them. All they do is give you false hopes

Used to be good

Was a decent job back when I started but has sadly become too much of a micromanaged environment, getting pulled up on call times and scrutinised in everything you do

Pros

Monday to Friday

Cons

Long hours, basic salary isn’t great for the hours you work

Nice management team.can’t fault the staff. A little unorganised at first but overall a lovely company to work for.I have a secured a permanent supply tile with a school in my town. Management are very accommodating and have time to listen if you have to swap shifts or take the day off for doctors appointments etc..
