Recruitment Administrator (Former Employee) - Bristol - 25 July 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedNot a great team atmosphere at the time. Not all the companies fault... Wouldn't go back there but wouldn't try and put anyone off either. It may be different

Working for liars and ghosts
Railway Operative (Current Employee) - United Kingdom - 15 February 2022
They lie to you at every part they can to keep you with them. Pay close to NMW and expect you to break your backs out for it. Don’t care about anything other than themselves… So best of luck trying to get through to them on the phone…
Pros
Weekly Pay
Cons
Liars Selfish

Review summary
Trackman (Current Employee) - Canning Town North - 29 July 2020
Overall it’s a face-got-to-fit culture and a very biased environment to work in where your voice is muted and if you do speak up you are ostracised via the form of a lack of shifts
Pros
There are not any
Cons
No reward/loyalty scheme

Hard working and long hours
Railway Engineer (Current Employee) - Abercynon, Rhondda Cynon Taff - 15 February 2020
You have to spend very long hours as where you work is often 2-3 hours away from home and then you have your shift lasting 8-12 hours then the journey back home too. Sometimes you will have to stay away in hotels too and have to buy your own food etc.

Possession support
Controller of site safety (Current Employee) - Farnham, Surrey - 20 December 2019
I have worked for vital for over 5 years and i think it is a good job and good company to work for. Only draw back is that it is a contracting firm and so hours ate not gaurenteed and you do not Recieved any employee benefits that you would in full time, contracted employement

Bad Culture
Recruitment Consultant (Former Employee) - Bellshill, North Lanarkshire - 25 June 2019
No drive or passion in the work place. Job security is good, with being a younger member of the office also tends to be demeaning when you are the top biller.

Diabolical
Worst management I've ever worked for, people in the office have no insentive to put you in work, becasue they have a salary, living off £300 a month is impossible, leave when you can!!
Pros
Nothing, but are on above minimum wage
Cons
Being treated like your worthless, no work, only mates of those who work in office get work

Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer (Former Employee) - Wirral, Merseyside - 10 April 2019
Professional working team members, all tools, PPE, fuel cards, tablets and mobiles are provided. Great training schemes with a chance of budding to gain extra knowledge. Communication is key which this workplace have, I felt very secure and at home working here the office staff are very friendly and welcoming. A working day is reasonable, work is almost close to your home however the odd travel isn't the end of the world if there is no further work available - Which is expected. I would highly recommend this company as there is a lot of potential and career opportunities. Pay and holiday entitlement is fair with chances of a review. A very laid back place of work but also productivity focused. Fab place would recommend highly.
Pros
The whole package
Cons
N/a

somewhat unstable
Assistant Manger (Former Employee) - Bootle - 12 October 2017
provide good safety equiptment and training but employment can be short lived with short working contracts , lots of travelling may be needed also but fuel cards are supplied

good job , not enough shifts
The role is good but with the zero hour contract work doesn't always come your way. Get picked up near your house and taken away to different work sites which is great. Good job if you want night shift. Just don't expect to have too many shifts a week if you aren't in a squad (team).
