Really good workplace, always have lots of fun things going on for different promotions etc and the company have excellent benefits, such as discounts for products, good holiday allowance, really good maternity/paternity packages, shares schemes etc. Also commission is really good if you’re achieving KPIs. They say that there are lots of opportunities for progression during interview process however I have not found this to be the case in my department. But overall, it is a good company to work for.
Pros
Maternity, pay, holidays, fun work place, bonuses
Cons
Fast paced environment, not for everyone

If like to say I enjoyed my time here but I found the competitive bonus system focused on individual performance to have a very negative impact on the store environment. You’re forced to enter conversations which seem as if a robot has written them. Harsh management, and a lack of understanding for personal circumstances
Pros
Salary
Cons
Stress, competitive and non understanding

For a call centre, it’s a good place to work. Great pay, lovely benefits. They sent gift baskets out to staff over the lockdown. They have awards ceremonies often and fun work activities. However, support is minimal and demand is very high. If you work in Sales, targets are extremely high, and the environment of lying to customers is prominent. If you work in customer service, they will teach you a minimum amount of information and then provide you with an internet page that will tell you everything else you need to know about Vodafone. Except the service is rarely updated and you have to use the service whilst doing five other things on the phone to the customer. Everything you do affects your bonuses, but if the system makes a mistake or you receive bad feedback that was meant for another adviser, it will not be fixed. Your bonus will remain affected. We were all given a six month ‘probationary period’ that did not end after six months. No reasons were given, but our job security was at risk.Very high turnover rate.Honestly, if you like very fast paced environments and you thrive in over-the-phone customer service, I’d recommend it. But every person that I know who has left Vodafone, talks about how toxic and draining the work environment can be.
Pros
Canteen, free coffee, visiting shop stalls (such as sweets and Yankee candles)
Cons
Inflexible hours, limited support, heavy workload

What the job had offered at the timevsaying fast paced sales which was really not true management was very poor as all they did was play with gadgets all day some days you would not 3ven have a customer area manager had there own targets to meet and was just a push on for every other staff personally I really hated it did not learn much in this role at all
Pros
Manger was relaxed
Cons
Pay was not worth with the commission

The salary, bonuses(when you could get them ) and maternity was great. However some things have likely changed since I left as they have now become partner agent stores. The sales targets were ridiculous and missing them by even two pay as you go phones like I did resulted in a disciplinary (when I was 30 weeks pregnant, and had to fight for my job in a hearing). I left to peruse a career with animals which is what i was educated and trained to do, but even if I wasn’t, the fact I left the company to go onto minimum wage, SSP and SMP probably says a lot about the company. I was refused a promotion when I was pregnant because I ‘wasn’t going to be there long enough to be worth while’ even though I still had about 20 weeks left til my due date. When I came back from maternity, I did only have to do 80% of my hours to be paid the 100% which was great. But I left after 6 months of being back because my mental health meant more to me than the money did. Some of the managers in the stores are great as I’ve worked with a lot of them over the 4 years I was there, unfortunately we had a high management turn over in the kings lynn store and the constant changing management put a strain on all of us.

Happy environment most days job satisfaction all was great for the first three years then a new regional and ceo took over and poisoned the broth making it difficult to move forward don't really know how it runs now but wish them well and hope they survive this difficult climate I worked hard during my time there and felt rewarded there were always incentives and the training was amazing especially the induction training I hold this workplace as the best job I'd had.

During my time here I was able to learn so much in a very short amount of time. It is fast paced professional and you get out what you put in. My favourites were collections and upgrades. Staff parties :)

Your hands are so tied its unbelievable. You keep customer's waiting and the service you are forced to give them is shocking. Call centres for customers to get hold of leave them frustrated and they come to store because they simply want to see a face.

Given a lot of years to Vodafone for very little rewards in the way of positive feedback from peers or indeed financially, there is little chance of going far up the ladder now that Vodafone franchise stores out to anyone who has money with little experience in the way of management.
Pros
Good holiday allowance ( 6 weeks a year i believe )
Cons

Due to people i worked with and management. working at Vodafone wasn't the best. i wasn't trained properly at all and was using an obsolete system which was being updated anyway. Very pointless job at the time. Still a good company to work for.

Been there for 4 years. The company constantly promotes recognition of women in the workplace and you'll see most managers/ops managers being women. You'll see them allowing people to progress better if you're female and men are left at a disadvantage. As previously noted in previous reviews, this company doesn't have a clue on how to run, their management and procedures are abysmal and they only care for one thing - calls. Theres constantly people going off sick and to make things worse. Multiple people have taken vodafone to employment tribunal due to legal issues in the workplace and they've won, because they'll do anything to throw you under the bus but not realise they've been under there for a while
Pros
Discounts
Cons
Hours, miscommunication, bad processes, females are favoured, clueless managers

You are just a number in the reports. Don't try to evolve because you won't be let. A lot of racism going on from managers of stores, regarding who to serve contracts and who to not...if it was a black customer we would have been made aware to double check their credibility. Really, the common sense does not exist in this company anymore
Pros
Money
Cons
No life, no holidays, no lunch breaks, no power of opinion.
