Voyage Care is an excellent company to work for. They provide thorough training enabling you to perform your role as a support worker to the best of your ability and giving the people we support the best care and support they need to live their lives to the fullest.

Voyage are a great company to work for, they do value their staff with extra benefits and annual awards to recognise excellent service. The people we support are the main focus and treated with great respect and dignity. The homes are homely and fitting for the people who live there. Flexible working and above minimum wage pay.

I have been working for voyage care now for nearly 2 and a half years. I have been in the care industry for over 10 years. Predominantly working with the elderly and people with dementia. I’m used to hard, stressful work and at times feeling like you’ve failed or not been given the tools or time to allow you to do your job which is fundamentally to care. Going home with too much baggage, not being able to switch off and constantly been phoned to work on your days off. I have never experienced any of this within voyage and my work setting. I have never worked for a better company and management. Voyage provide regular training and then some so you have the required training to implement in your daily work. Work isn’t supposed to be easy? We’re paid to do a job, I agree that we deserve more pay, but that’s just how it is in the care setting and not directed at voyage. What we do is all about the people we support and I believe the people we support live an incredible independent life. They are always on the go, attending activities of choice, work placement, cinema, holidays, restaurants, swimming, gym.. the list goes on. Staff are provided with fresh home made food every day. I could never really cook before I started working for voyage, I believe now I’m more than an able chef so I have learnt while working with voyage. I love my job. Have the best manager anyone could ask for and an incredible senior team along with the day staff and night staff. Voyage really do care. Compared to the work I was used to and the work I do now, there is no comparison and actually, it makes -

I have worked within voyage care now for over 10years. Voyage have given me the opportunity to expand and progress within my role!Voyage provide excellent training and 1:1 support.Each individual supported within voyage leads an exceptional life, they are enabled to meet goals, aspirations and wishes. No individual is the same and therefore careful put together care plans are in place to ensure that each individual supported received person centred care.Voyage care look after their and offer staff benefits

Lots of possibilities for progression, good supportive environment

Each day is different, but mostly rewarding. I’ve learned so much through training and hands on experience. I have progressed fairly quickly from support worker, to senior, to deputy manager. Voyage very keen to support progression. Our workplace is very friendly, a team for sure. There’s always someone to go to for support and encouragement when needed. It’s great to be working in an environment where you can make a difference to people’s lives. The hardest part of the job for me was adjusting to the pace of it, things happen slowly so being impatient is no good!

Been employed by Voyage for 14Years and it is a joy to work with a Management team who give you so much support and colleagues who make going to work a joy. Over the years I have learned so much with in house training and allowed to thrive in my surroundings..The people we support are our focus and building trust,encouraging new initiatives,assisting the people we support to make life choices which will help them grow is just a small part of our role.....You as an individual will grow,you learn so much.....this job recognises hard work and pushes you as a person,there are also opportunities to progress with Voyage...if you want a job which pushes you to use your initiative,build you as a person,learn new skills,achieve outcomes and assist individuals to grow and prosper you should apply now.......It's not easy however it's rewarding,seldom is a day the same and the shifts allow a great work/life balance.......Join the Voyage team and experience the benefits of helping others.......

The staff are very nice and quite a fun place to work

A typical day at work as a night support worker is smooth and easy. Management is very responsive and ensure all staff are well trained. The most enjoyable part of my job is being on shifts with my night shift colleagues, they are so caring, friendly and understanding.

Productive and a fun environment to work

I genuinely loved working here the guys were amazing to work with the staff we're great obviously I didn't particularly like everyone I worked with but in general it was really good. On some occasions it would be emotionally draining but I worked here during the pandemic so explaining to someone with autism that they can not do what they have always done was hard. Can honestly say100% one of the best places I've worked .
