Mechanical Fitter in Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Bad management. Place being run into the ground.
Management didn't have a clue what they was doing, just winging it was everyday. Could never order parts at the right time, things never got finished just dumped on a pallet to collect dust. This was frustrating and there answer was oh well its the computers fault for not ordering parts. They can't win no contracts because they have a bad name in the rail industry.

Coachbuilder (cat4)
I have never worked anywhere in my life that is so unorganized an depressing. The money is good and the a toddler could do the work but you are are essentially working in a prison. Here is one,,,,,just one of their stupid rules. "On your 10min break (the canteen is 5 min walk) you cannot eat, or sit down. You can get a coffee and stand next to your job. Remember, you work to live, not live to work. This place think they own these agency workers and treat them as they are replaceable.

The work OK but don't expect the pay to match
Started as cat 3, but soon was doing cat 4 work constantly, sometimes Cat 5, they want the skills but don't want to pay. Asked to be upgraded and they agreed but it never happened, The work was no issue just hated the fact I was doing work way over my pay grade (why am I working harder than other Cat 3's who did simple tasks)They treat you like a Tool, as long as your useful they're happy. In the end I just left to go to another company who did recognise my skills

Bullying culture from supervisors/management
Blame culture in effect daily shift v shift man v man health and safety poor on issues that matter and overboard on petty issues that don’t matter. Raise an issue and you’re singled out has a trouble causer and punished for it. I would not let my sons work here
