What would you suggest Waitrose & Partners management do to prevent others from leaving?

  • Minimum of £15 per hour seems to be a reasonable wage , would be a good place to work then.

  • Move management around frequently they get comfortable in a branch and become lazy

  • Listen to your staff. Stop with the favouritism. Managers are absolutely clueless in this organisation and they’ll hire someone inexperienced who peaked in high school and it shows. They only listen to staff who brown nose and know very little about the operation. When you try to warn management of something, they ignore it.

  • Pay increase give partners what they deserve not make them work like dogs not being rewarded. London store should pay London living wage due to living cost going up paying people on the cheap doesn't benefit company long run. 2020 no bonus so at least give a pay increase to keep partners

  • Managers abuse their power. They especially pick on younger employees but also older ones as well. They walk around telling you to hurry up yet they do nothing. Maybe if they helped up things would get done quicker. They shout at you even if you have enough time to replenish and face up. They do not give you positive criticism it’s all negative and aggressive. It’s ironic that when managers are on shift who shout at you and treat you like dirt there’s a sense of chaos and things don’t get done yet when there are managers who respect you everything gets done early and everyone is happy. The management at Waitrose is so bad. However, saying this, at my branch there are some really good managers that make working there a pleasure. The others make you cry and want to quit.

  • Stop with the favouritism and actually get their managers to do their job. I lost four days holiday because a manager didn’t approve it in January when it was pending for over a month! Also, they need to get managers to inform staff if they’re going to be trained on something because I wasn’t inform of any change until my manager shouted at me for not being on reductions when I was always at a different station.

  • The senior store management need to be taught the difference between strong management and bullying. Empowerment is a fantasy in this organisation and the idea of “Be yourself always” as one of the values is fine if your face fits. Maybe stop the discrimination and patronising managers who might be more suited to being prison wardens. Crazy culture. Seen so many partners in tears. It’s not worth it!!

  • If them a good staff talk them and in courage them not to leave .Find out the proble .Some time people leave because the job is hard and low pay are they fine new job with high pay are they have young children .

  • Train managers better maybe have more varied ages there and not so many young cocky people. Holidays should really be on first come first serve they claim it is but usually after every kind of manager going

  • Allow staff to progress there career
