Ex Class 1 driver wednesbury

HGV Class 1 Driver (Former Employee) - Wednesbury, West Midlands - 5 June 2023

The job is run by the warehouse staff as in they tell you where you’re going and then you have to wait for your truck to get loaded . Meanwhile they have you moving trailers of bays to get your trailer onto a bay then you have to load your own truck and by now you’ve been at the depot 2hrs plus .When your loaded your still expected to do a 11 hour run so the work life balance they talk about disappears. It could be a really good job if it was run better .

Not a terrible job

I worked there for 9 months and it served its purpose, I was able to finish early enough to pick my kids up from school, and it was my first HGV driving job so got some experience on my CV. The job itself isn’t too bad, but you don’t get any training, so your first few weeks you’re learning on the job, which can be stressful, but once you’re settled the job is as easy as you make it.

Good place to work good management easy job once you get usted to it work for 2 year only left as got job close to home good lorry well planned delivers
