Family Support Worker in Warwickshire

An afterthought
Its hard to review the whole organisation as its so big. I do enjoy my job, there is plenty of training and lots of opportunities for promotion or to move to another team. Working for local authority you can keep your years of service if you move jobs to a different local authority. There is dedicated counselling sessions for employees and most roles are a mix of working from home and office based. Working alongside people on a higher grade than you, you need thick skin. Im ignored most of the time and excluded off most communications. They make me feel like the work I do doesn't matter and the 'Im too busy' excuse feels just that, an excuse. This isn't everyone, some people are lovely, it just really hurts to be excluded. Library Assistant in Warwickshire

Mixed feelings
Overall, a nice secure environment to work in. The same pay grade colleagues & the higher paid management are usually lovely people to interact with… it’s the immediate management that seem to make things a struggle. Admin Assistant in Work from home

Brilliant to work for
Have worked here on a temporary contract for the last year and a half and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Brilliant team to work with, brilliant work life balance, very supportive management team and upper management are also more than happy to help. Administrator in Warwick, Warwickshire

Great place to work
The managers are supportive, I work with a friendly team and there appears to be lots of progression opportunities for the future. All work documents are easily accessible on YourHR and I've always received prompt responses from the help desk when needed. You can also work from home or the office so can be flexible. Purpose driven and less fun
It is a great place to work. As expected social work is challenging, busy and complex and that is what it is exactly at Warwickshire. It's the financial compansatiin that needs to improve to match surrounding areas. What would you say about your employer?
