Weightmans is a great place to work, unfortunately the wages aren't really competitive and they need to start recognising their staff's true worth. There is a good atmosphere within the office, although it is becoming too corporate.

Bad line managers

You have to know your place, unless you have an interest in becoming a solicitor, you are looked down on. A bad line manager can make your work life good or bad. Mine was awful, made my work life horrid. and there is no one to turn to, not even HR.

It’s ok for the favoured few

Awful firm to work for, I took redundancy as they wanted me and my colleague to have to go up against each other in tests for the 1 job. She was favoured very much and I knew I had no chance of getting the job and was told do by head of department. Had no pay ride in 3 years and wasn’t even told - I extremely hard and o felt it was constructive dismissal.

Worst 2 years of my life

Place is full of bullies I seen people go home in tears every day.Salary is quite good but no opportunities to progress and there isn’t really any training when you start

I was asked about previous jobs, what I would do in certain situations. Why I left my last position. Would I have a problem speaking my mind to higher positioned people in the company. I was asked about my timekeeping. I had a fee earner and manager interview me and they were so welcoming I knew I had the job within 5 minutes of being there.
