Awful horrific experience, the staff and management are horrible

I’d definitely avoid working for well if you value yourself, basically a minion for a company that’s all about making so much money for themselves, they don’t care about their staff or even most patients. Such an uncaring environment. I was never trained properly, management is poor and haven’t got a clue. Understaffed and made to feel inadequate and worthless. For a company that’s supposed to care, all they care about is profit! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Awful Long Service means Zilch

Absolutely terrible company to work for.You give them years of your life to build a career and abundance of knowledge for them to dispose of you like rubbish then replace you with members of staff of which have the same role you asked for to remain with the company ! Absolutely shocking way to treat people and they get away with this behaviour in turn affecting people’s mental health and wellbeing!!

It's a job if u really need one, a lot of learning and stress for minimum wage

So many staff leaving of all levels or on long term sick. Struggling to keep branches open due to lack of staff. Employ minimum so can't cope if anyone off sick or on annual leave. Get paid more working in a supermarket, despite all the learning and responsibility. So short staffed, limited time to train new staff. Good if you thrive in a overworked environment. Keep fit/weight down from constant running from dispensary duties to counter as no counter staff.Management nice to you when they want you to go extra mile to hit their targets otherwise no support. No recognition I stayed for my co-workers

Stressful, high turnover, unorganised

Let the bad reviews for this company speak for themselves. This company is so unprofessional and badly organised. Didn't have a contract given to me until my second day and even getting that sent to me was a job in itself. You are absolutely rushed off of your feet with no training given. You are left to your own devices not really knowing what you are doing. It wouldn't surprise me if a big mistake happened at the workplace at some point in the near future. Such a small pharmacy and not enough staff. Angry patients come in shouting and swearing at you and you're paid minimum wage. Very negative experience. No wonder people would walk out during their shift and not return!

Worst company to work with

Honestly pharmacy job itself can be stressful and challenging. But massively understaffed situation makes the work very very stressful and understaffed causes the dispensary behind and obviously people shout at us.The company is very unorganised and management is very not organised not systematic.Greedy company takes all the care home or other works to get more money but don’t give any more support for increasing workloads. Absolute jokeManagement doesn’t even know how the pharmacies work or run.They even block the supplier portal to log in from the work computers. We can’t even check the stock availability quickly. Seriously, there are massive queue out to the pharmacy and do you guys want us to call the suppliers and waiting for half an hour to an hour?I absolutely hate the company how much they dont care about employees and very disappointed that this company runs the pharmacies which actually very not safe and dangerous for patients.Really upset me how they promote themselves .Only good part is called ‘hub’ sometimes you don’t have to dispense massive prescriptions which save time. However it can be confusing system for us and patients as it takes 2 days and not all of them can be sent.

Worst place to work

Mangers talk down to you and if they dnt like you they will extend your probation period, mangers make up stuff and micromanage looking bring up any minor issues make a hostile environment to work.

Worst decision I ever made was to accept a position with this company truly a company that puts profit before patients

What is the best part of working at the company?There isn't one, really bad company to work for, no support from branch,you can't talk to your manager as they always seem to be in meetings.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?You are always wrong in any decision you make yourself it's easier to take deliveries back than deliver them What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Your are bullied into doing more by the branch ,more deliveries,unpaid overtime and if you complain you are told you know where the door isWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?Stressful, deliveries aren't ready when you arrive and told to wait until they are ready then expected to deliver more in your alloted time

Awful place every branch has issues

Awful place to work every single store has staff issues, the area manager does t care or help or support you, they just want you to do more and more, pay is awful, never get a break, customers always moaning as don’t have enough staff or time to be up to date, my manager very unprofessional making judgement about staff’s appearance, if you want depression and anxiety sign right up

Love the job

Hardest part of this job is coping with difficult customers, but that is a rarity in our shop. 95% of customers know how much work we have to do and are understanding. Best part of the job is helping customers with any query they have, and the banter definitely helps on a busy day. The team work well together but the management aren't so understanding if process isn't followed.

Understaffed, under appreciated under paid

An extremely stressful work environment. New starts are thrown in at the deep end given no training at entry level, expected to know what they are doing even with no pharmacy experience.Stores are completely under staffed, area managers believe that a body counts as somebody that can safety run a store regardless of training. Stores are crying out for help and lied to when asked Pay is minimum wage and most people would earn more working at checkouts in supermarkets for 90% less stress and anxietyMost staff are worn out and are leaving for independent pharmacy or leaving pharmacy all together.Sheer greed from company owners, outsourcing of jobs, cost cutting at the cost of mental health and unsafe working practices. Pharmacy should not be for profit and that’s all this company is interested in. Retail is a priority and health is not, for patients and staff. Any positive interactions for customers are purely out of the goodness of staffs hearts and not in any way to do with the culture of well. Staff work for each other not for the company

Avoid

They advertise “highly competitive salaries” in the job ads but that is not true. Just above minimum wage by pennies. Not enough staff, overworked and higher management only care about numbers. Can’t keep staff because the pay is awful and you’re expected to run a pharmacy on 2 staff members.

Understaffed, stressful environment.

Colleagues in store are great , I still love my job, but with 1 full time and one part time colleague, the workload is unmanageable. Very small area relief team means that unless you have no dispensers there is no one available to cover. Often work 6 days to avoid store closure. Trying to dispense walk ins, answer the phone, serve shop customers, put together nomads, care homes and general dispensing, not to mention stocking the shop, date checking and cleaning with 1 dispenser, 2 in the mornings is impossible. And don’t forget the targets for services as well. No regular pharmacist and no formal team leader. The more you try to do, the more is expected from you, until it becomes too much and you leave before you break.

An appalling place to work you are ok if you are in the managers click otherwise managers don’t even speak to you, awful atmosphere, works easy enough but boring, people only stay there as the don’t drive and it’s walking distance for them

Awful company, no morals

The company don’t care about staff, they leave us understaffed and pile more work on us and when we reach out for help we get told to work better basically, awful terrible company owned my bestway pancea, worst thing that ever happened t our lovely shop that company taking over.

Avoid working here at ALL cost!

Prior to joining the company, I read the reviews online which made me quite anxious about starting however decided to take the job anyways. This was the biggest mistake as when i started my role, i realised that all the reviews are accurate.When i conducted the interview, the role that was sold to me was completely different to what when i started. My managers had no clear idea of what my role was and i had zero guidance and support. Their were allot of expectations however noone could really tell me what the role was and random tasks and activities were handed to me as time went on. I was asked to travel back and forth to different pharmacies but this was not something that I was informed of initially.To top this off, the culture is so off and negative, stores are run down and employee's are unhappy!
