Professional and efficient
Locum Pharmacist (Former Employee) - Telford, Shropshire - 28 April 2022
After working at wellington pharmacy for a few years I can honestly say it was a lovely pharmacy to work at.the workplace culture is always to do right by the customer and to go that extra mile for our customers and also for each other. It was a lovely pharmacy and i always felt supported by my peers and the directors, fair and considerate to all members of staff . I would not hesitate to work for the company again if I moved back into the area.

Great workplace
Pharmacist (Former Employee) - Wellington, Shropshire - 28 April 2022
I have worked at Wellington Pharmacy for over 2 years now, staff are easy to get along with and helpful. A fast-paced environment, however I prefer this as always something to do and have developed my clinical knowledge with queries I have faced. I have left due to moving out the area, but would work for the company in the future if I was to move back to the area.

Busy but enjoyable
Pharmacy Dispenser (Former Employee) - Telford, Shropshire - 9 April 2022
I worked at this pharmacy for 12 months before leaving due to relocating. Although a very busy pharmacy there was a great team spirit and the customers were lovely

Very rewarding job
Covid Marshall/ Administrator (Former Employee) - Telford - 8 March 2022
Thoroughly enjoyed working for Wellington Pharmacy, and met some really great people there. Can’t recommend the company enough The rotas were given out well in advance and you always knew which site you were working at and what hours.

Please reconsider if you are about to apply!!
Pharmacy Dispenser (Former Employee) - Wellington - 14 January 2022
I am going to start by saying this review is an honest and truthful review and is not written by a disgruntled ex employee. I worked at Wellington Pharmacy (until recently) for a fair few years I can honestly say that by the time I left I was exhausted, long hours and no recognition for the time and effort it took to work there. Extremely poor Management, no Health and Safety whatsoever. Six members of longterm staff have left in the past 6 months so that tells you that there is something seriously amiss with the place and something needs to be done before a serious incident takes place. Its a real shame. I'm now working at a reputable pharmacy, it's really shown me that Wellington pharmacy is the unhealthist / most unprofessional place I have EVER worked and should be avoided at all costs no matter what empty promises you are given.
Pros
Can't think of any!!
Cons
All of it.

If he’ll was a workplace
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - Wellington pharmacy - 19 September 2021
Worked here for a period of time , was physically and mentally draining always felt as though you were not good enough no matter what you did. Coworkers were great and worked well as a team especially when the directors were not there. When directors were there felt as though it was a prison they always looked for ways to put you down no matter how hard you were trying. No respect from the directors , you are literally just their workers nothin else they literally wouldn’t even care if you died while on the job! Would not recommend to anyone !

Brilliant place to work
Locum Dispenser (Former Employee) - Telford - 3 September 2021
Working as a locum dispenser for a number of years I have worked for many different stores and companies. I must admit Wellington pharmacy is one of the many few who have been amazing start to finish. The management was quick to cater for all my needs. Highly recommend

Horrific
Pharmacy Dispenser (Former Employee) - Telford, Shropshire - 19 August 2021
Spent several years here to (in the end) be made to feel like nothing. Cried in the car before and after MANY shifts, had no support from hierarchy, only good thing about it was the staff and they’ve pretty much all gone and been replaced by locum staff. Get forced into working weekends and evening shifts; even when you say no because you’re so tired or you (god forbid) actually have a life outside of the place, they pull your name ‘out of a hat’ and unfortunately if it’s you, you’ve got to do it. Expected to do all of the cleaning, deliveries (sometimes even after your shift which can be as late as 11pm prior to COVID) and do other people’s jobs as well as your own due to staff shortages, illness and poor rota planning/control. Serious changes need to be made, and unfortunately even though promised on multiple occasions, never did and never ever will. Which is truly very very sad.
Pros
Nothing at all
Cons
Not willing to change anything

Dreadful place to work, the directors are clearly and quite obviously only in it for the money.
Covid-19 Vaccinator (Former Employee) - AFC Telford United - 13 May 2021
I would most definitely not recommend working with this company. Having worked within the NHS before Wellington Pharmacy, I was shocked by the lack of care, compassion, professionalism and integrity shown to patients & customers (not to mention the staff!)
Pros
Absolutely none.
Cons
Serious lack of professionalism and integrity by the owner.

Do not care about the staff or patients. Only interested in making money
Pharmacy Dispenser (Former Employee) - Aldershot - 6 January 2020
Would never work for this company again they care too little about their staff and patients. Underhand way of doing things. They say they will change things and help but these are empty promises

Avoid at all costs
Pharmacy Courier (Former Employee) - Wellington - 14 February 2019
I worked for Wellington Pharmacy for several months as a delivery driver. The Directors haven't a clue how to manage the workload. They treat staff like dirt, you are shouted even if another member of staff makes a mistake, and they don't like being stood up to. They have no respect for health and safety whatsoever. If you have an accident at work you will never get any support. Make sure you belong to a Union for you own benefit or they will walk over you. It's no wonder why their staff turnover is vast because no one will stay longterm.

Great Place to work
Locum Pharmacist (Current Employee) - Telford, Shropshire - 4 January 2019
I have been a locum Pharmacist for the company for over 2 years now, I have really enjoyed it, all the staff are great. I have found the Pharmacy robot especially beneficial, as it helps improve the accuracy of dispensing. It also helps to provide an efficient service to patients.

Avoid at all costs
NA (Former Employee) - Telford, Shropshire - 17 October 2018
None of the staff are trained. Work environment is extremely unorganised. "Directors" will not pay whats owed to you. Prescriptions go missing all the time with no accountability taken!
Pros
None
Cons
Senior management and pretty much everything else you can name

Dreadful
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - Wellington, Shropshire - 23 January 2018
I spent 6 weeks working for this pharmacy and I can honestly say they are the worst management I have ever come across. Made to feel like something scraped off their shoe daily. Reduced to tears numerous times until I walked out and never looked back!

Challenging but enjoyable
Counter Assistant (Current Employee) - Wellington, Shropshire - 23 May 2017
If it was such a bad place to work I wouldn't have returned, a lot of changes in the interim and can again say I love my job. My colleagues are like family, we are all there for each other and pull together when times get a little tough. Yes it may be manic at times, but the focus always remains on the patients. Management are proactive, patient and sympathetic from recent personal experience.
Pros
Close interaction with patients, family atmosphere, real team effort, sweets and treats, meals out, great Christmas parties
Cons
Not always able to resolve patients' issues, but not always a pharmacy problem

Awful
Pharmacy Dispenser/ Counter Assistant (Former Employee) - Wellington, Shropshire - 4 April 2017
Worst experience I've ever had. Nobody is trained, management is awful. Staff are shouted at, reduced to tears, not paid on time, under paid. Minimum wage is rarely met and you have to fight to get it. Work load is giant and if you don't get through it you are shouted at. Locum pharmacists are mostly useless and you hardly see the same ones. No one wants to work there. Very rude. Not professional behaviour from the directors at all, they withheld my P45 after I left for 2 months. I always worked through breaks and turned up early and finished late never got any recognition just got more work and more shouting.
As they wouldn't train me even as a counter assistant I now can't get a job in another pharmacy because I was doing CD trays and every aspect of pharmacy work for two years here without being qualified.
DO NOT WORK HERE
You will be stressed and depressed the whole time.
No health and safety, no first aid kit, messy and overcrowded working environment. No training given. Awful pay. Horrible hours and shifts are requested at an hour before they start etc. Rude management to the point staff are too scared to talk to each other durinf the day. Highest staff turn over of any workplace I have ever seen.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Everything
