Customer Service Advisor in Cardiff

Challenging but supportive
Be prepared to take a large volume of inbound calls, in the billing centre expect to answer a range of queries about customers bills, payments, meters, leaks. Be prepared to deal with complaints. It can feel intense but the support within the team is great. Training is so in depth.

Stressful and Poorly paid
Very stressful environment. Would not recommend. Company Wastes far too much money. Not for Profit, but everything is subcontracted to profit making companies. The contractors are paid more than you. Lack of experience at all levels. Training is non existent. Progression does not exist. Good opportunity for overtime and extra money. Rate of pay is lower than it should be. No work life balance. 24/7 standby will ruin your life! You are expected to be available 24/7 wether you’re on standby or not.

Not a bad place to work, can be a very fast paced environment and stressful at times, phone is constantly rining to do more work but when you need someone for help or advice they are reluctant to answer. Salary is poor, they create jobs for people who arent good at their current jobs and pay them more. You are no longer a valuved employee but just a replaceable number. Limited progression opportunities especially if your face does not fit and your part of the inner circle of managers, supervisors or technicians. Standby rota which can be busy and is 24/7. Some of the benefits are ok but not the best for the size and type of company.

Slow paced work, no accountability, salary too low compared to industry standards.
Slow paced work, no accountability.Salary too low compared to industry standards. Good training opportunities within the role but extra experience does not lead to higher salary or role progression

management have no or very little experience.
managers have no personal experience of the tasks they are trying to teach others, will not listen when advised of the consequences of there lack action, prefer to hide within the system.supervisors afraid to criticise or are seen as being uncooperative.sub contractors are treated very poorly as a rule, some waiting 90 days for invoice payment.
