Room Attendant in Wiltshire

Fast paced job
This job is only made bearable by the people you work with and friendly guests. There is many problems with getting the equipment you need and cleaning supplies. Pay is always paid on time on the same day. Manager is friendly but we are blamed for problems caused by lack of equipment for instance no hoovers that work but we are threatened to be fired over hoovering not done. We are only given 20 mins per room even if the rooms are messy/dirty. We are constantly told to be faster. Then we are told to take longer on certain rooms. You never know where you stand.

Liars, avoid
I started working for WGC in august, they claim contracted hours but I had so many taken off me even though I was only suppose to be doing 16 hours a week, the staff treat you very poor, all from different countries and sit in the office bad mouthing you in their own language, it’s an uncomfortable environment to work in, was given 4 hours of training after having no experience than whacked in the deep end expected to continue my work without full training, constant pressure to finish rooms in a certain time and constantly being criticised, even on my first day! Claim to be seriously understaffed and busy, me and the other house keepers were extremely busy whilst the head of house keeping and supervisor sat in their office watching videos most of the shift before coming to hurry you, claim to work as a team but don’t know the simple needs of sharing cleaning equipment.Overall a horrible experience that truly drained me and left me incredibly stressed, please stay as far away as possible, the wage is most definitely not worth it.

Feel hopeless and no payment
They told me I will have payment during training period, but I have not received any payment . Every room must be done within 30 minutes, you need to do the job like robot even no time to go to toilet. Tired and boring. Hopeless.
