I worked at Wheatley for a year and a half on a temp contract. The overall benefits and salary were great for what you were doing but increased workload which is not included in job description. Additional work was allocated by manager during periods which didn't specifically fall under the criteria of the Debt collection role. Unsuitable for people with younger family and almost 0 job security as most roles are connected to secondments which the other staff could return at any stage. Very short notice given of whether your position will continue or not
I started via the Changing Lives program. Thank you to my Housing officer taken the time too mention my name too Head of Changing Lives. Great news stick in and now I am officially a FT operative. Management very approachable and great team of guys to work with. Personally I can not thank the management enough. Changing Lives can be Life Changing. 1 very happy FT operative. 😊
Great colleagues however every call is negative and abusive in which management expect you to take this. Not supportive when family become ill senior management (operations) very rude emails sent to make sure you know “she’s” boss. Pressure you to resign so they do not have to support you.
An excellent working environment with a positive work/life balance.
Salary and benefits excellent.
It is a fast paced ever changing environment. Always looking at the best option for the customer.
The people I worked with were fantastic and would recommend to anyone.
If I wasn't offered a competitive package due to restructure I would still be there.
The way the environment operative section of this company is ran is awful.
The place is corrupt from the top to the bottom. Jobs are advertised 9 times out of 10 they are spoken for by people hand picked by management. They'll still interview but the job is unofficially spoke for by someone hand picked by a senior manager, usually someone who works there who has family in a high role start from a basic job, to team leader and higher within 2 years because there family member is a manager. Avoid at all cost.
