Client Finance Officer in Wigan
on 13 January 2022
The department had too few staff and the stress everyone was under was ignored by management.
Client Finance. Too many clients to look after which was so stressful. This inevitably resulted in mistakes being made which affected clients income. The pay does not reflect the amount of responsibility in the roleCustomer Service Assistant in Wigan

Good
Good place to work if you can take it.. downsides are you need to have a labour point of view & blindly follow the councils agendas, you are not allowed your own opinion or views. Residential Support Worker in Wigan, Greater Manchester

Enjoyed my time, But too many changes ruined it
Enjoyed working for Wigan Council, however constant restructures ( Around 4 in my time working there) and shuffling of managers, and managers who fail to listen to needs of staff and continue to do so until I left. Constant merging of teams adding more and more work to your already massive workload, and then zero training from it. Around 5 years ago, there was a lovely team of us, however this was all disbanded in favour of new staff who just seemed to come in for a doss about, and wern’t ever looking to go the extra mile and train above the bare minimum. However overall, my time was okWhat would you say about your employer?
