Wilko Retail Ltd. is a British high-street chain which sells homewares and household goods. Way back in 1930, JK Wilkinson opened his first store in Leicester. And since then, we’ve not stopped growing. Today, we’re still family run, but now we have almost 400 stores across the UK – with big plans to open more. Impressive stuff.

Customer Service Assistant/Retail Merchandiser in Kingston upon Hull

Meh, it’s alright …

If you get a good group of you working together, you find the shifts go quick. But when I was there they liked to really down play my abilities at times (even though a small amount of colleagues knew I was capable of good work) which caused unnecessary and awkward situations for no reason.

Assistant Manager in Leeds, West Yorkshire

Worked both retail and HO. Nice friendly environment

Lovely place to work, however tough in this climate with high work load and short on hours. This used to be a great company but everyone seems to be looking elsewhere

Marketing Assistant in Worksop

Poor - middle management heavy

Lack of accountability with slow and painful relience on always getting sign off and approval further and further up the chain Zero progression or encouragement to advance and move forward Stuck in the past, extremely slow to move forward or try anything new

Customer Assistant in Wembley

Very fun but horrible hours

Often working 3 hour shifts which is a complete waste of time. No paid breaks. Management and other employees are great and very supportive. Overall easy work but the hours are too short would be better if they offered a 6 hour shift on one day instead of 3 hour shifts on 2 days.
