Customer Experience Assistant in Glasgow

Enjoyed the job
The work isn't hard, but do have to put up with abuse from customers.Managers only interested when you're helping them otherwise they don't answer their phones.
CEM in Glasgow, Glasgow
on 9 January 2023
Sinking ship. Management don’t care. Only high street betting company not to help staff with cost of living struggles. Ladbrokes gave staff £300 each.

Colleagues are good and so are few customers
No scope for career growth, less employee supportive and friendly. Worked as Manager basic salary is not good. The only thing is you can most of the time get your shift swapped easily.
Customer Experience Manager in Glasgow
on 10 May 2022
Toxic environment
Terrible management, called or text constantly on days off, made feel bad for being off sick or requesting holiday time. Management have favourites, incredibly long hours with inadequate break times that often cannot be taken due to lack of staff or selfish colleagues taking longer breaks. Emotionally draining and stressful job tasks due to having to manage customers who clearly have gambling issues and deal with money laundering or fraudsters on your own with security being remote. Customers are also awful and entitled, management favour customer satisfaction over staff safety. Very little done to provide support unless you threaten leaving the company and even then empty promises. Lowest paying bookmakers for biggest job responsibilities and are made act above your pay grade when lone-working.
Cashier in Glasgow, Glasgow
on 7 April 2022
Was employed as a cashier but 80% of shifts were managing. Constantly short staffed and expect you to give up any personal plans to do overtime. Shifts are regularly changed. Too many late night finishes (4 out of 5) and weekends( 1 weekend day every 4 weeks). Absolutely no work life balance. Toxic environment with constant gossiping from cashiers right up to top management. No consistency in work practices in different shops. Pay rates are a joke. Constantly abused and threatened by customers. I would describe working here as being in a mentally abusive relationship. Work here at your peril.
