Why did you leave your job at Wincanton?

16 answers

  • Simply because they want you to be perfect from day 1 stacking and rates and continually harass you about your rates daily. They see chronic stress and couldn't care less.......

    In a nutshell makes you feel useless and depressed.

    Never again

  • Bullying is accepted and allowed. Don't work for this company unless you want to be miserable.

  • Agency did give me more shifts

  • I was told to by upper management to find progression.
    Nothing in house.

    useless.

  • I leave the contract I work in and company as it’s a disappointment at different levels:
    - selling a “we are all about our values and people matter for us” imagine, but reality is very different, they care about the money and the bottom numbers;

    -putting pressure into the wrong departments and wrong people at the wrong time to do more regardless of the consequences for the next shift and/or day;

    - not recognising the talented people working there and not investing in their potential;

    -budget comes always first and not doing a good job and/or the right thing;

    - lack of motivation from all levels of management;

    - people with not enough experience and skills in the wrong positions;

    -letting people fail instead of approaching a proactive attitude towards their development;

    - on of the key principles of working there is “cover your back the best you can”;

    - wrong, outdated and “last century” management styles with pressure on people and many shortcuts in order to look good in front of the business and the customer;

    - nepotism.

    I would only recommend working there so you would have a “what not to do, how not to manage” example.

  • From day one I could tell this place wasn't going to be good ( Rochdale cdc ). After being there for twelve days I was still having to ask to be added onto the clocking system Kronos.Kept getting told it would be sorted out but nothing happened.Problems with the T5 voice picking unit again told this would be sorted out nothing happened.You only get one Saturday and Sunday off every four weeks the rest of the time its days off in the week but never two together .Ended up leaving for another job but wasn't payed money that was owed me despite writing to them.It might seem ok because they offer permanent contracts after 3 months but the whole place is a shambles .Avoid if you can.

  • Contract states 10 hr but they route you a 12, 13 or longer day (some have broken the 15 hr rule just to get back to depot)
    ..... And times given are unrealistic.... 26 minutes to deliver a whole kitchen with appliances... Used to be longer. Management treat people like dirt unless you are one of the managers buddies or gym mates. One of the worst cultures I've ever been connected with. Glad to be out!

  • From start to finish poor just really bad can't even sort ppe out make you travel round collecting it from different locations or even biting your own DONT DO THIS your have to constantly chase your expenses never pay it right even after leaving they try giving you less I also no a nother ex wincanton driver who got a lot less in his final expense pay out management leave all time there the worst company IV ever worked for.
