Area Sales Manager in South West
on 11 January 2021
Poor management and culture
Over the last 6 years there has been so many changes of senior management and strategy leaving the business and staff and more importantly customers confused and lacking in confidence.Bullying middle management culture and rule by fear and intimidation and ridicule.Once was a very good company to work for but unfortunately lost its way and has now fallen from grace
Driver in England

Discriminatory hr/er department
Job description is not accurate. Driver spends more time in the warehouse; picking orders rather than driving. Management are detached from the front line staff. Management changes frequently. thus rules and expectations change all the time.HR/ER departments are insincere and not to be trusted. Avoid having anything to do with them. If you keep your head down and don't mind doing various jobs rather than just driving, then not too bad. Just avoid the insincere people in ER as they're unprofessional and corrupted by their Management.

Not for those that want to work
Wolseley look after the staff that are lazy incompetent I found out the hard way I was never late never skived through sick days maybe I was old school but if you are prone to not liking work you will get on well at Wolseley.

Great Team to work with
Work experience very much depends on the on site Manager. Wolseley leave the running of staff to them but will get involved when required. The branches are very small and one bad employee can pull down the mood of the entire team.
