Great employer if you have young children, flexible working, generous annual leave entitlement and option to purchase up to 3 weeks extra leave if required.

Great team to work in. Very welcoming and inclusive.

Great team to work with; lovely and friendly and inclusive. Management (Assistant) was really good. But training was not that great. Regular team meetings/briefings/Away Days.

Pros

Great hours

Cons

I was working through an agency.

High pressure work environment

Dedicated Business Support Officer for the Initial response team; dealing with emergency referrals to the Children's safeguarding team from Police, NHS, Education or other partner and external agencies. Responding to families who are affected or supported by the Children's safeguarding team. Creating spreadsheets and collating information for these. Updating and uploading to databases. Planning and arranging Strategy meetings in respect of Abuse or exploitation. Maintaining the Social Worker rota for the team as well as the daily information in respect of visits Assessments etc. Dealing with all administrative back up for this. Creating purchase orders and maintaining as well as managing the company procurement card. The most difficult part of the job is the sheer volume of work that comes in on referrals to the Initial Response team and the most rewarding part is protecting children and when I am able to help parents or family to understand that support can be available and that we can help to keep families together.

Pros

Permanent position

Cons

Extreme workload and unreasonable expectations
