Good pay
1:1 Teaching Assistant SEN (Former Employee) - Wyre Forest District, Worcestershire - 11 November 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGood pay, not often praised for a job well done. Lots of tasks expected to do in your own time. It was quite a cliquey environment to be in and resources often had to be paid for by myself.

west midlands (Former Employee) - west midlands - 27 October 2019
Low pay and no oppprtunity for advancement. Far too relaxed. Bad people seemed to succeed. The a very large wage difference between those higher up and those at the bottom.

Be a cleaner or shop worker, you will get paid more
Adult Social Care (Former Employee) - Worcestershire - 4 May 2019
Could not recommend - pay scales of lower paid workers such as Customer Advisers, Team Support Officers & Business Support Officers get pay freezes / downgraded to even less money, while team leaders & managers earn good salaries - ironic that they help adults in Worcestershire to live comfortably; supporting with benefits etc, and Council Tax has gone up, but some of the staff are victims of working poverty.
There is no opportunity to progress or qualify unless you start as a qualified Social Worker.
Team leaders just leave without saying good night to staff & never praise hard work, there is no appreciation and acknowledgement of how hard staff work, and they truly do.
Difficulty booking holidays due to staffing problems and discouraged from buying extra - the whole work / life balance does not exist, it's just an advertising ploy for new staff.
Parking is tricky, there are not enough spaces for people in the building.
Pros
Childcare Voucher Scheme
Cons
Low pay and no progression

Warm and welcoming
Customer Advisor (Former Employee) - Worcestershire - 22 August 2016
This was a short term contract through an agency, it was to cover the busy council tax period between February and April.
A typical saw me take calls from Worcestershire County Council residents who wanted to pay their council tax bill, query costs on their account, pay library fines, complain that their bins had not been picked up etc. I learnt a lot more than I thought I would only being there a short amount of time, I learnt about the different council tax bandings and the different ways to pay your bill, this role was enjoyable but as it was a temporary contract there was no room for progression. My colleagues were very friendly and helpful when I did not understand something or the system was running slow. The hardest part of the job was the travelling, I live in Northfield and the job was in Worcester which some days could take me an hour and a half to get to. The most enjoyable part was the wage, as I was agency staff the wage was quite attractive.
Pros
Staff were friendly and inviting
Cons
Long distance to travel
