Great company, Great Team, Great Opportunity

Featured review

Wren Kitchens selected this as a representative review
Since starting with Wren, not only have I felt that I have developed as a salesperson, I also feel that I have gained far more knowledge of the industry and gained a new skillset that I did not have before. The management and team at Wren Slough are a vibrant, multicultured and welcoming group of people, who have nurtured and supported my development from the offset. Having a learning disorder means that I take longer to learn new processes and skills, but Wren have been endlessly supportive of my extra needs and I feel I am progressing at a healthy rate.I am very excited for the future with Wren.

Pros

Great team, Supportive Managment, Challenging work

Great staff, poor management

Loved the people but the management team needs a lot of work, a lot of favouritism going on and not enough support for the remaining staff. Training is good in the beginning but then a mixture of opinions can confuse your judgement.

Horrible environment, this place gave me PTSD

What is the best part of working at the company?Designing and interacting with clients What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The toxic sales environment and unfair distribution of clients What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Toxic, competitive, inconsistent rules. Deception is encouraged as long as it gets sales. What is a typical day like for you at the company?A meeting every morning talking about sales targets. Looking for clients because yours have been reassigned without cause or reasonable explanation.

you have to learn a lot, but in a great company

I'm with Wren a month now. People in my showroom are warm, nice and welcoming. My managers are very helpful, knowledgeable and supportive. There is plenty to learn, but you will be provided with library of materials and e-learnings. I was even provided with a mentor.

Pros

hour lunch break, positive work environment

Cons

sometimes work till 8pm

Great place to work

4 weeks in and wow! on the 3rd week you go for a week training at the head office (the nest) which is brilliant. Personally I have never done anything with kitchens in the past and now I am confident I can go forward in my career and succeed. Management are great, very helpful when ever you need to know anything. Always supportive

Pros

Salary, Training, work life balance

Cons

none

Good Showroom with Amazing Colleagues and Management

After migrating to the UK, Wren is my first Professional job. I had an amazing training at the showroom as well as in the head office. The company takes time to train their designers and does not push to achieve their target. They give enough time to learn and practice. All the colleagues and managers are helpful and can approach anytime if any help needed.

Pros

Good showroom, Friendly Colleagues and Manager, Good Pay.

Cons

Some days are long working days like 11 hrs.

Good money if you get along with poor management

Good place to work if you are willing to be a slave to the management and give up your free time to work extra. Poor head office communication and would leave you with more questions than answers to problems, left to deal with problems that they have caused and can potentially loose you money for their mistakes. Poor management in store and expect you to want to be there on demand of a customer even on your days off. Other staff members can be nice as long as your not their direct competition.

Stressful and poor managed

Just a number, would sack anyone at anytime. Management are rude and discriminatory. Hours are long. 1 whole week away from home to go to training but watched every moment whilst away.

Mixed Experience with Room for Improvement

I joined Wren Kitchens with high hopes and genuine enthusiasm to excel in my role. Initially, the modern infrastructure and some of my supportive colleagues made the experience seem promising. However, as time progressed, I encountered persistent bullying and harassment from specific members in management. Efforts to raise concerns internally yielded no substantial results. The environment became increasingly hostile, with accusations based on fabrications, undermining my professional confidence. While there are pockets of positive experiences and some truly wonderful colleagues, the overall culture was marred by a lack of accountability and proper leadership. For those considering a role at Wren Kitchens, it's essential to be aware of these challenges. I hope the company takes internal feedback seriously to create a healthier and more positive environment for all employees.

Great place to work, very professional, every so friendly and helpful.

At the moment working 9.00 till 5.00 and trying to complete the modules.I've learnt that the customer is very important.Management are being very helpful and patience, although I don't like disturbing them as they are so busy.Workplace culture is very professional. The hardest part of the job so far is trying to complete the modules. The most enjoyable part of my job at ghe moment is completing a module correctly.

Pros

Relaxed but professional learning.

Cons

None that I can see at the moment.

Terrible company

This job is not what they make it out to be, you get made to cold call people and have to push customers into spending ridiculous amounts of money on kitchens and you don't really get a lot of commission out of it either. The base salary is disgustingly low to say the owner's net worth is in the billions, within the 6 months I lasted in the company I saw people get sacked after only a couple of months working there for not being on target and countless people leaving because of the pressure management and head office put on you. It's an awful work environment with you having to work 14 days straight over Christmas and rarely being able to book time off, you do NOT get a work-life balance! The staff turnover at the showroom I worked at was a joke among some colleagues that managed to last. This is a company I will always tell people to avoid for work or being a customer.

Cons

no work life balance, shift patterns, management and head office

Can earn good money but there’s a lot of pressure to do sales.

A typical would be going in, answer a few emails, keeping ringing back your clients, sometimes asked to be a bit more pushy to get them back specially during sale end. It’s a competitive workplace and staff at times seemed to put other staff aside and gossip with the insider group (people who have been there the longest)If anything goes wrong with your order, it comes out of your commission. Everything is your responsibility, even after speaking to management they basically throw you out there and tell you to deal with the issue yourself.A lot of pressure, responsibilities, lack of personal time. Crazy hours at times, having to come in on your day off.If you’re a good sales person though, you will certainly profit from this job but everything that comes with it makes it unenjoyable.

Inspirational and quality work

A typical day at work would be having a briefing with management about what the day will consist of. Then we would go through our dashboard and do overdue tasks consisting of calling or emailing customers etc. Dealing with walk in customers and helping out current customers. Doing appointments if scheduled in.

Pros

Very friendly team and hard working

Cons

Every weekend work and unsociable days off

Busy exciting place to work

A typical day seems to fairly busy with appointments and admin but also an exciting experience, meeting new people and designing their dream kitchens. I have learnt a lot about kitchens and the process/details of how it all works. The culture and management are great and really make you feel at home. The hardest part for me will be the amount of admin involved but as long as I’m organised, I should be fine!

Cons

Long hours and weekend work
