Great workplace

Indeed featured review

Really good company to work for. Office environment is really friendly and everybody helps each other out. If anyone needs support there is always someone there to lend a helping hand.

Not what you think

The wages advertised are not what you get paid. Minimum week of 45 hours before overtime at 1.3x, if you get offered it, as depot has favourites who always get first dibs. Travel paid is nowhere near the actual travel time, if you get paid it as they'll start you at depot to avoid paying. You get a van, but only for work purpose and get deducted from your wages for the privilege. It's not a job for an electrician, it's basically labouring, heavy cables, heavy transformers, heavy MDUs and no equipment provided to help you. You don't mean anything to the company, all they're interested in is profit. You'll get the cheapest uniform, cheapest PPE. They also dock your timesheets to the van tracker, and alter your timesheet once you have handed it in. The management are clueless and have no idea what the shop floor is actually like. In my time there over 15 lads had come through the door and quit. That should tell you all you need to know. The actual work isn't that bad, but everything else is shambolic.

Great company to work for

I’m really suprised by the reviews on here as my experience has been totally different. I have found WysePower a great company to work for, very open, transparent and fair. I always feel supported by both colleagues and management.

Pros

Supportive environment

Cons

None that I can think of

Tell you anything to get you in the door

Was promised the world at first with this company, then once in the door the chance of working abroad or earning overtime didn't come to fruition. Basic money for a pound of flesh every day.

Pros

Work van eventually

Cons

Long hours, poor money

Poorly managed and under valued as an employee

Completely undervalued as an electrician. I had been getting jobs done quicker than most lads but instead of any sort of thanks it was just taken for granted. Plus hours were deducted from my timesheet after i had submitted it without me being notified. This must have gone on for months which i found despicable after the effort i put in to getting jobs done for them. Would never work here again and would highly recomend not working her to anyone. Stay well clear!

Dreadful Directors

Poor Director management with no training given.Expectations ridiculous with poor respect to the workforce treated like peasants, utterly despicable. All employment conditions are the absolute minimum showing lack of support and respect for all of the workforce.

Had some good laughs with the lads. Shame they aren't backed up correctly

They care about profits over employees. Your trash to them when it comes down to it.Always short on supply's to get jobs done. Amatuer ways.Low pay for electricians.Bodge jobs .Make you do jobs that aren't trained to do.Put you through unofficial training needed for the job then charge for it when you leave.

Pros

Some good workmates

Cons

Turn there back on you when asked for help

Don’t Bother

Worst company I’ve ever worked for. Management are awful and provide zero support. 60 hour weeks for 45 hours pay at minimum wage! Zero time owed in loo. micro managers with hardly any people skills. You won’t be happy here, I wasn’t!

Poorly organised, fun, undervalued

This company was great for having fun on some days but generally i felt undervalued and underappreciated and like the management structure was preventing people for staying in the company long.

Shocking

Horrible place to work, little money for long days. Training not properly given, incompetent managers, no help when asked and rude staff members. This was the Manchester branch.

Temporary Electrics

Wysepower provide a secure job and have given me much experience in the electrical field, working on commercial sites across the north-east of England. I have seen a lot of the country and travelled a lot with Wysepower.

Pros

job security

Cons

little variation in the work as its temporary electrical work.
