Sales Advisor in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

I didn't like working there.
Very boring, staff were on their phones at the till, didn't learn much and it was incredibly slow-moving. Not many customers, fewer sales. I didn't feel very include.

Great place to work
Always busy and lots to do. Manual handling of deliveries is tough when you're unloading 3 tons of product for a new store. Product knowledge training on induction. Area Management supportive, fun culture whilst adhering to company guidelines and service levels. Great discounts on product.

Awful family business
The team in the shopfloor is very nice and hard working. You will find respectful people and welcoming! However... Majority of Yankee Candle stores in the UK are run by a family business – MS Stores – which is destroying the brand! They reduced drastically the staff discount, you're not allowed to have a group chat with your team, they don't let the supervisors doing their rota, they will difficult your life if that's beneficial for them. I questioned them regarding my holiday pay, because they don't pay the right way and they have fired me one week after.
Deliveries are never in time. Most of the times they ask to order 3/4 times in 2 weeks, erase the order you placed and stock won't arrive in 2 months time.
They asked me to perform tasks of supervisor in March and never paid me for it. When I said I wasn't happy in doing it anymore until I was paid for it they took it as me refusing to do my tasks...
Don't expect more than working for a bunch of self-centred people that don't trust their staff.

Great place to work
I only worked there for Christmas and I really enjoyed working there, although at times it was stressful with a lot of customers due to the busy period, most of the time it was a relaxed atmosphere and everyone got along

Just a typical stockroom job
Just a stockroom job moving jars from one shelf to another. People are great. Never dealt with customers so I wouldn't know. Not enough hours given to staff also their payslip service doesn't work
