YG’s vision is for young people to have the confidence motivation and skills to improve their lives. We work to achieve this vision by creating opportunities that educate, inform and inspire.

YG supports young people who are facing some very difficult times; whether it be disruptive home life, caring for a family member, or coping with a mental health issue. Young people turn to us for help and we offer them practical ways to find confidence and develop the skills they need to get on track and to move into a job, education, or training.

How we work.

A youth work approach is at the heart of everything we do. By building relationships with young people and understanding their individual needs we can begin to empower them to change their futures.

YG believes in working holistically to address all influencing factors in a young person's life. This includes embracing the wider needs of the family and respecting the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's). YG works in partnership with county council-led provisions and follows guidance set by the Gloucestershire Children's Safeguarding Board to ensure the welfare of all young people we work with.
