Disappointing Experience with a Life Science Recruitment Agency

I recently had an unfortunate experience with yourworld, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. My overall impression of this agency is far from positive, as they consistently failed to match my level of experience with suitable placements. One of the most frustrating aspects was the lack of attention given to my complaints and concerns. The recruitment consultants appeared disinterested in addressing the issues I faced during my assignments, preferring that I simply work without questioning or raising problems. Even when I did voice my dissatisfaction, their responses consisted of false promises that never materialized or made any sense.I would caution individuals with experience to reconsider working with this agency. It seems more suitable for fresh graduates starting their careers rather than seasoned professionals. Moreover, it's essential to note that the advertised rates are misleading, as they are based on umbrella rates rather than PAYE. For instance, if an advert states a rate of £15 per hour, you can expect to receive around £11 or £12 per hour after the umbrella company deducts its fees.Taking all these factors into account, I cannot recommend this recruitment agency. It fell short in terms of understanding my qualifications, addressing my concerns, and providing fair compensation. If you're seeking a reliable and supportive agency, I suggest exploring other options in the life science industry.

Good to get by on short term, however no long term progression nor any pay rise. Pay inclusive of holiday can be quite misleading as you have no chance to accrue holiday without cutting your pay check.

Very productive and nice place to work

Nice team and very proactive.. Shifts are very flexible. You can booked your shift monthly. They ensure staff are properly engaged in training before resumption of work. They have a platform for easy communication within staff and employer. Payment of salaries are usually timely within less than 5 days

I DO NOT recommend joining this agency. You join the agency and get paid according to the advertised rates of pay, some days after you join they reduce your pay and there is nothing you can do about it,

stellar offices, some nice people in management and HR team

Nice lovely offices and some nice people however there are a few individuals that are quite the bullish type. spoilt the atmosphere , not a well structured firm a lot of pushing and pulling you around, changing the rules from one day to the next However the management are nice and till this day I have a good relationship with them . Its a shame they let some of the senior consultants treat others so badly , needs more authority and control in this area. Was a bit Wolf Street for me.

Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming here, which makes coming to work a really enjoyable experience. When given work it's great. But there is always uncertainty. I have had very little work offered to me since the beginning of the year.

Agency work ideal for being in control of when and where you work but, not a lot of it about since the beginning of the Year therefore permanent work more appealing now. Also due to government changes forcing ltd companies to comply with their new regulation of IR35 means agency workers now have less control of their lives.
