Teaching Assistant (Current Employee) - Manchester - 11 May 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI started my job in April 2022, honestly, I worked only 4 days because some open requests were not convinced to my schedule and some of them were too far from my house. When I applied I informed that I want a specific role as a maths teaching assistant because I have bachelor of mathematics in my home country, however, the only role I have gotten so far as a teaching assistant in day nurseries, nevertheless . Overall I appreciate them because they support me all the time before I start my job I receive a text message and after I finish also to support me .I am grateful for your support.
Pros
optional your work
Cons
Some of different paid depending on hours

Lovely friendly staff but lack knowledge and experience
NTPTutor (Former Employee) - Manchester - 12 March 2022
Young and friendly staff but lack knowledge and exoerience. Communication can be slow and they often lack the knowledge to help. Issues with their app to register hours worked. Don't always return your calls. Lack knowledge about their systems and how to solve issues. All very friendly.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Poor communicators

Best agency around.
Supply Teacher (Current Employee) - Tameside - 7 January 2022
Absolutely fantastic agency. They have worked with me to ensure I have had the best possible experience working with them and the schools they work with. Their app is revolutionised the way bookings are handled, making it much less stressful to decline or accept a job. I have felt appreciated for the work I have put in whilst working with them and not just another number.
Pros
The app and the people

Operations Manager (Current Employee) - Oval Station - 14 July 2021
I worked at Zen on a short term contract. It is a great company with great people who are working towards the same goal: improving education. Company culture is great and every single employee and the owners are extremely kind, helpful and understanding. Managers acknowledge their teams’ efforts and they value everyone and their contribution. Everyone is eager to help and learn from each other. It has been a great experience working at Zen.

Long hours and terrible pay
Sales Assistant (Current Employee) - Vauxhall, Greater London - 6 November 2020
They seem to expect you to be a robot, working overtime very often and expecting people to be enthusiastic depsite wages being well below industry standard. Sell a culture of dreams, typical of most start-ups that don't have a strong foundation. Management are also incredibly rude.
Pros
On-site gym, good location
Cons
Long hours, poor management, low pay

1:1 Teaching Assistant (Current Employee) - London - 4 October 2020
Zen Education is great to work for and the only agency that pays for trail days which is a bonus. I Love that they try very hard to get me work I asked for.

Excellent platform connecting teachers and schools
Supply Teacher (Current Employee) - South East London, Greater London - 20 June 2019
Zen Educate are different from other teaching agencies because they are more so a platform for teachers and schools to connect. Therefore teachers get paid more and schools pay less. The staff are always polite, friendly and professional. They are great at keeping in contact and their app is very easy to use. They just seem to get better and better and I have had an extremely positive experience so far. I would be 100% likely to recommend them to a friend. Well done Zen Educate.
Pros
Excellent app, excellent staff, no timesheets which are a pain
Cons
None
