Your New Role...

Content Protection & Analytics (CP&A) implements the Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) content protection strategy. The overall objective of the department is to protect WBD's film, TV and games content and channels against piracy throughout the entire value chain, with a primary focus on Internet piracy in all its forms. This encompasses legal & enforcement measures, working with the WBD Government Affairs group, consumer education, new technologies and supporting the business units in their commercial activities.

The Manager, Content Protection and Analytics will be an experienced content protection professional with strong online investigations skills and clear leadership skills and an ability to take the initiative.

The Manager must be able to work well with people at all levels both internally and externally. He/she will have strong communication, management and business skills and have the ability to work independently showing good use of initiative in conducting online investigation, managing and overseeing online enforcement activities as part of the global Content Protection & Analytics team. Experience of working in an international organisation is key, together with the ability to work alongside colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experience, helping in the integration of WBD's wider content protection/enforcement efforts.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Managing and conducting OSINT investigations to monitor, investigate and reduce production-related leaks.

  • Analysis and assessment of online piracy landscape for new trends and threats.

  • Managing, including developing and implementing strategies for, specific online enforcement projects.

  • Providing technical expertise and analysis to the CP&A team on existing and new online piracy channels, services & platforms.

  • Developing enforcement strategies for key enforcement threats.

  • Setting, implementing and managing content protection strategies for TNT Sports UK&I and Eurosport services, including liaising with WBD Sports executives.

  • Managing external enforcement vendors for TNT Sports UK&I and Eurosport services.

  • Managing provision of enforcement reports to WBD executives.

  • Overseeing pirate IPTV and App scanning and enforcement programme.

  • Overseeing EMEA elements of D2C credential sharing scanning and enforcement programme.

  • Liaising and coordinating with ACE enforcement teams to ensure enforcement actions are pursued against WBD priority targets.

  • Managing manual scanning and enforcement of WBD content and channels.

  • Managing strategy for fingerprinting of WBD EMEA, content for content recognition tools.

  • Managing ad hoc online piracy questions and referrals from WBD commercial executives.

  • Management of Analyst, Content Protection & Analytics position.

Qualifications and Experience...

  • People management experience.

  • Extensive experience of OSINT investigations.

  • Experience of online content protection activities including use of online scanning/notice sending systems.

  • Proven communications, presentation, time management & negotiation skills.

  • Software skills required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Tableau, etc.

  • English language fluency.

  • Entertainment or related industry experience.

  • Must have the ability to work well under pressure and time constraints.

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with agility.

  • A degree (or equivalent) is required with a technology focus.
