Full job description

Job Summary:
We are a local building and joinery company that covers all aspects of building works. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a background and experience in building works.

This is a 12 week trail period to see if you are suitable for the role. After 12 weeks, the rate will be renegotiated based on the skill set you have. You won't be expected to know everything, but you must have previous experience to apply.

What we are offering

  • A minimum of 32hours per week @ £13 P/H (Reviewed after 12 weeks)
  • Weekly pay
  • You will build up holiday entitlement as you go
  • Ongoing guidance and support, so you improve in all areas of building works
  • Uniform provided
  • PPE provided
  • Specialist tools and plant provided

What we expect as a minimum

  • You must arrive at work on time; start times will vary depending on the project
  • A good work ethic is a must
  • The ideal person must be able to work alone, unsupervised at times
  • You must be able to follow verbal instructions and guidance
  • You must be trustworthy and honest
  • You must be polite and respectful of customers and their homes
  • People who miss work through alcohol or substances, please don't apply, you will not last

What you must bring to the role

  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience working in a construction environment
  • Driving licence and transport
  • Experience in labouring, plasterboarding, and general building works is a minimum
  • Experience in basic joinery would be an advantage
