Roofer – Renewables (Solar PV)
Location: Scotland-wide (travel & overnight stays required – accommodation covered)
Pay: From £1,250 per week (self-employed basis) - realistic earnings a lot more

Job Overview

Home Heating Services is expanding its renewables team, and we’re looking for a skiller roofer to join us. The role involves carrying out roofing works to support solar PV installations across Scotland. Work will be in central Scotland initially but north of Scotland can be a possibility too, so frequent staying away from home may be required.

This is a great opportunity for someone with roofing experience who wants consistent, well-paid work (paid every Thursday without fail) with a busy and growing renewables company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all roofing works for domestic and commercial solar PV installations
  • Prepare roofs safely and accurately for panel mounting
  • Work at height in all weather conditions
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety on every site
  • Travel and stay away regularly when required (accommodation provided)

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in roofing and fitting solar panels to MCS standards (essential)
  • Comfortable and confident working at height
  • CSCS card or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • Hardworking, reliable, and physically fit
  • Willingness to travel and stay away frequently
