Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing tiles in various settings, ensuring precision and quality in every project. The Tile Setter will work closely with other tradespeople to deliver high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying necessary adhesives or primers before tile installation.
  • Measure and mark layouts according to schematics and project specifications to ensure accurate placement.
  • Cut tiles precisely using hand tools or power tools to fit around obstacles or into designated spaces.
  • Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces, ensuring alignment and spacing meet quality standards.
  • Use construction painting techniques where required to prepare surfaces prior to tiling.
  • Follow schematics and technical drawings to achieve the desired aesthetic and functional outcome.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters or construction painters to complete projects efficiently.

Skills

  • Proven experience in construction, particularly specialising in tiling installation.
