Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of building types. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in roofing and construction, looking to contribute to high-quality projects while developing their skills further. Applicants must be able to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and building regulations.

Duties

  • Install new roofing systems using a variety of materials including tiles, slates, metal sheets, and membranes
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to extend the lifespan of roofs
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation
  • Operate power tools such as nail guns, drills, and saws safely and effectively
  • Use hand tools including hammers, chisels, and screwdrivers for precise work
  • Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as required for specialised roofing projects
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation processes
  • Assist with carpentry tasks related to roof framing and support structures
  • Apply knowledge of plumbing and masonry when integrating roof drainage systems or structural elements
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards

Experience

  • Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is essential
  • Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings is highly desirable
  • Skills in welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and the use of power tools are advantageous
