Commis Chef - Monday to Friday

Brooks’s Club located in St James, Mayfair, close to Green Park Station is looking for a Commis Chef to join the kitchen team.

The Club is open Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work (Weekends at enhanced rate).

PACKAGE

  • £13.54 hourly rate.
  • 39-hour normal working week
  • Straight Shifts
  • £27,459 annual salary

HOLIDAYS

The Club is closed for all bank holidays, around 2 weeks in December for Christmas and 3 weeks in August, this is when all staff take their holidays.

THE ROLE

The Club has a rich heritage having been in existence for over 250 years, the restaurant seats 50 covers and private parties it can accommodate up to 100 covers. The Chef and his team are focusing or sourcing the best ingredients they can and cooking them simply, delivering on taste and flavour.

The kitchen at the club has recently been refurbished to a high standard with lots of modern efficient equipment.

The Chefs work straight shifts, generally early or late shifts, typically alternating each week. 10pm is considered a late finish and no shift starts before 7am.

The key skills and experience we are looking for in applicants are:

  • Professional chef training/qualification.
  • Experience working in a profession kitchen where food is prepared to order.
  • Able to work as a team.
  • Willingness to learn
  • Motivated to complete tasks set and contribute to the running of the kitchen.
