We're now looking for a GTS Academy Manager to lead our training academy and shape the future of learning across our organisation.
What You Will Do:
As GTS Academy Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our learning and development strategy. You'll lead a team of operational and development specialists to create impactful, inclusive training programmes that support the development of our people and the success of our organisation.
- Develop and implement a unified academy GTS Training Academy strategy aligned with GTS values and goals.
- Lead the design and delivery of the creation of blended learning programmes for operational cohort training. Ensuring best practice and use of technology (digital, in-person, hybrid).
- Oversee training needs analysis, induction programmes, and career pathways for core roles working with wider team to implement robust effective processes
- Ensure training content is inclusive, engaging, and aligned with adult learning principles.
- Engagement with business departments and leads to understand the learning and development requirements for their area and plan resources accordingly
- Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to maintain content relevance.
- Upskill the training team in technical knowledge and facilitation skills.
- Introduce competency standards and apprenticeships for ongoing development of trainers
- Build strong relationships across business units and promote academy offerings.
- Actively participate in global expert forums and external industry networks.
- Measure and report on training impact, learning outcomes, and ROI.
- Support customer-facing colleagues during disruption as part of our step-in programme.
What We Are Looking For:
We're seeking a strategic and experienced learning professional who can lead with vision, collaborate across teams, and drive innovation in training delivery. If you're passionate about developing people and transforming learning experiences, this could be the perfect role for you.
- Degree-level education or equivalent.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Learning & Development, ideally in a safety-critical industry.
- Strong strategic planning and team leadership skills.
- Expertise in blended learning, including use of AI and VR technologies.
- Experience managing budgets and external suppliers.
- Skilled in training evaluation and demonstrating ROI.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills at all levels.
- Customer-focused, adaptable, and proactive.
- Strong communicator with strategic thinking and attention to detail.
- Resilient under pressure and responsive to change.
