Job Summary
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Part-Time Key Holder to support the day-to-day running of Slices in Bury St Edmunds. You’ll be a key member of the team, helping to open and close the store, deliver great customer service, and make sure our standards stay high even when managers aren’t on site.

This role is ideal for someone with hospitality or retail experience who’s ready for a bit more responsibility without going full-time.

Responsibilities

Store Opening & Closing

  • Open and/or close the shop in line with company procedures
  • Ensure alarms, locks and security checks are completed correctly
  • Set up the store so it’s clean, stocked and ready for service

Customer Service

  • Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service
  • Take orders accurately and handle any customer queries or issues
  • Maintain a clean and inviting front-of-house area

Cash Handling & Till Duties

  • Operate the till accurately and handle cash/card payments
  • Complete basic end-of-day cashing up and paperwork when required
  • Report any till discrepancies to the Store Manager

Team Support & Responsibility

  • Act as the responsible person on shift when a manager is not present
  • Support new team members with basic training and guidance
  • Communicate clearly with the management team about any issues on shift

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a hospitality, takeaway, café or retail environment
  • Confident with cash handling and using a till/EPOS system
  • Reliable, punctual and comfortable with responsibility
  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable manner
  • Able to stay calm and organised during busy periods
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends and some bank holidays
