Senior Compliance Officer

Why Aqovia?

Digital Transformation & Software Engineering Consultancy

Aqovia is a growing digital transformation and software engineering consultancy delivering technology solutions for clients in regulated and high-growth sectors across the UK, UAE, and GCC.

We’re hiring our first Senior Compliance Officer to build and lead our compliance, risk, and assurance capability, with the opportunity to grow into a Head of or Chief Compliance Officer role as the business scales.

What you’ll do

  • Establish and own Aqovia’s company-wide compliance, risk, and governance framework

  • Lead alignment with key ISO frameworks, including ISO/IEC 27001, 27701, 22301, and ISO 31000

  • Act as a senior advisor to leadership, engineering, and delivery teams on compliance, data, and AI risk

  • Support client assurance, audits, RFPs, and due diligence for regulated and enterprise clients

  • Advise on regulatory considerations across UK and GCC markets (without operating regulated products)

  • Embed a strong culture of ethical conduct, risk awareness, and secure-by-design delivery

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years’ experience in compliance, risk, or governance within technology, fintech, or regulated environments

  • Hands-on experience implementing and running ISO-aligned management systems

  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory expectations, with working knowledge of EU, MENA and APAC frameworks

  • Comfortable building a compliance function from the ground up in a growing consultancy

  • Able to translate regulation and standards into practical guidance for technical teams

Why join Aqovia

  • Opportunity to evolve this role into a Head of Compliance or Chief Compliance Officer position as the business grows

  • First compliance hire with real ownership and influence

  • Work closely with senior leadership and engineering teams

  • Shape how a modern consultancy approaches compliance, AI, and assurance

  • Exposure to complex, international client environments

If you are an experienced compliance officer ready to drive Aqovia’s next phase of growth we’d love to hear from you.

Join us and help shape the future of regulated digital transformation and digital assets across the UK and GCC.
