As a valued member of a growing legal team, you will provide administrative and legal support to the legal team in support of the business day to day activities – e.g. the sales, pre-sales, operational, compliance, procurement and management teams.

You will engage with the business to be aware of its requirements and to be aware of changes in the demands placed upon the team and to respond to them, you will also make use of the team's training, research, precedent and technology resources to optimise the individual and the teams service delivery.

The Role

As a valued member of our growing Legal team, you will support the business’s day-to-day activities by providing high-quality administrative and legal assistance. You will work closely with teams across the organisation—including Sales, Operations, Compliance, Procurement, and Management—to ensure legal support remains responsive and aligned with business needs.

You will engage with stakeholders to understand evolving requirements, make effective use of the team’s training, research, precedent, and technology resources, and contribute to continuous improvements in how legal services are delivered. We value adaptability and curiosity, and you will be encouraged to embrace new ways of working and suggest ideas that enhance processes and collaboration.

Roles and Responsibilities

Contract Management

  • Create, manage and maintain contracts registers and contract management systems.

  • Produce reports from CMS for the benefit of the business including tracking agreements, renewals, amendments, and key obligations

  • Promote the capability of the CMS to the business

  • Consider ways to improve the CMS and seek universal use

  • Identify benefits of and challenges presented by CMS and communicate them to line manager

  • Maintain and organize legal files, databases, and document management systems (physical and electronic)

Legal Compliance

  • Use the research tools made available to you to:

  • Obtain information on current laws in the key compliance areas for Bell worldwide

  • Update those areas for any changes

  • Work with the compliance team to provide information to them in the appropriate format.

  • Participate in internal and external audits to seek to achieve successful outcomes.

Corporate

  • Support corporate governance activities, such as board materials, resolutions, and meeting minutes

  • Assist with regulatory filings, licenses, and compliance documentation as needed

Other

  • Provide administrative and legal support to in-house counsel and other members of the legal team

  • Use knowledge from legal compliance to keep team informed of developments in the law

  • Instructing external legal counsel as directed by your line manager.

  • Subject to workload, participate in keeping legal templates up to date, accurate, consistent and relevant.

  • Make a positive contribution to the team by suggesting any improvements you feel may contribute to the more effective or efficient operation of the team.

  • Keeping your line manager up to date with your workload and any issues that you feel are relevant to the business and your role.

  • Carry out administrative duties as requested by line manager.

  • Understand and follow the processes and procedures adopted by the team and the business from time to time.

  • Issuing contracts to the relevant parties to review and sign, including facilitating electronic signatures.

About You

  • An ability to operate to deadlines and prioritise workload for the benefit of the business;

  • Good business judgement, understands commercial pressures and implications;

  • Strong organisational and time management skills;

  • Experience in meeting administration (agenda preparation, slide creation, minute taking);

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in particular able to communicate appropriately with key stakeholders without using jargon or overly legalistic language to facilitate good understanding of the issues by all parties and enable sound decision making;

  • Able to write clear, concise and understandable communications, associated correspondence and advice;

  • Proficient in the use of the Office 365 suite;

  • Able to adopt and adapt to new systems and become proficient in their use;

  • Adaptable and able to work flexibly in the context of a medium sized growing business;

  • A positive approach to their work and a team-player, working in a collaborative way to share knowledge and to keep all stakeholders informed and up to date.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Legal training (for-example, law degree, LPC, GDL) to demonstrate solid understanding and application of fundamental legal principles.

  • Good knowledge of contract law and some knowledge of cross-border agreements and the additional complications they pose to the parties.

  • Knowledge of CMS systems (Luminance preferable)
