About the Role


As Head of Cybersecurity, you will be responsible for shaping, executing, and continuously evolving Global Switch’s cybersecurity strategy to protect our global data centre infrastructure, systems, and customer environments. This role is pivotal in establishing a resilient, scalable, and proactive security posture across our international operations, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

You will lead the focus on cybersecurity and work cross-functionally with IT, Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to embed security into every layer of our business. From threat detection and incident response to policy development and awareness training, you will drive initiatives that safeguard our digital assets and reinforce trust with customers and stakeholders. This is a high-impact role suited to a technically astute, forward-thinking leader who thrives in complex, mission-critical environments and is passionate about building secure, future-ready infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement a global cybersecurity strategy aligned with Global Switch’s requirements.
  • Establish and maintain a security framework covering IT, OT, and data centre environments.
  • Lead the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, standards and governance across all regions.
  • Oversee threat intelligence, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation initiatives to proactively manage cyber risks.
  • Ensure compliance with international cybersecurity regulations, including ISO 27001, GDPR, and other relevant standards.
  • Work closely with other teams to embed security into business processes and technology decisions.

You’re a forward-thinking cybersecurity leader with a strong technical foundation and a strategic mindset. You thrive in complex, high-stakes environments and know how to build scalable, resilient security frameworks across global operations. With a deep understanding of threat management, compliance, and governance, you’re confident working cross-functionally to embed security into every layer of the business. You’re passionate about protecting digital assets and enabling secure growth through proactive, business-aligned solutions.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in designing and leading enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs, ideally within the data centre or critical infrastructure sector.
  • Deep understanding of global cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Strong knowledge of IT and OT security, including network architecture, endpoint protection, identity management, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and their security implications, including cloud, AI, and IoT.
  • Experience with security monitoring and reporting tools, with a focus on data accuracy, risk metrics, and executive dashboards.
