We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Duties
- Safely operate various types of commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation and safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Assist with warehouse tasks when required, including loading and organising stock.
Requirements
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles, preferably with warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical aspects of lorries, including basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Experience operating flatbed vehicles is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or in logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adhere to scheduled routes.
