Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, seeking a stable and rewarding career in transportation.

Duties

  • Safely operate various types of commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks when required, including loading and organising stock.

Requirements

  • Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles, preferably with warehouse experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical aspects of lorries, including basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Experience operating flatbed vehicles is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
  • Prior experience as a delivery driver or in logistics is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adhere to scheduled routes.
  • Physical capability to load/unload goods and perform vehicle inspections as needed. This position offers an engaging opportunity for experienced drivers committed to safety and professionalism within a dynamic logistics environment.
