Job Summary

Due to continued business expansion, we are looking for a reliable and professional Collection and Delivery Driver to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a stable role with long-term career prospects in a well-established company.

Duties

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring they are secured during transit.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and receipts.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures while on the road, including adherence to traffic laws.

Skills

  • Valid driving licence
  • Strong time management skills to ensure prompt deliveries.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems effectively.
  • Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of goods.
  • Attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
  • No more than 6 points on your licence (no DR, DD or IN codes).

The role is Monday to Friday, with some Saturday's as overtime, 51.5 hours per week.
