ASR Prosthetics Ltd – Lab Manager / Dental Technician (Prosthetics)

Type: Full-Time Position

About Us

ASR Prosthetics Ltd is a growing dental laboratory based in the Wakefield area. We pride ourselves on combining traditional craftsmanship with modern digital technology, including 3D printing, to deliver high‑quality prosthetics. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Lab Manager / CAD Dental Technician with creativity, leadership ability, and technical flair to join our friendly team.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Duties

  • Produce plaster models to the highest standards
  • Create bite blocks and special trays
  • Invest and process dentures
  • Repair and add to dentures
  • Set up and wax up try-ins
  • Understand each stage of producing a well‑fitting denture
  • Utilise 3D printing tools to enhance precision and efficiency in prosthetic design
  • Work confidently within ExoCAD and digital workflows

Lab Management Duties

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations within the laboratory
  • Manage workflow, scheduling, and case distribution
  • Maintain quality control across all stages of production
  • Support and mentor junior technicians
  • Liaise with clinicians to ensure excellent communication and case outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory standards, health & safety, and best practice protocols
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new digital processes and technologies

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience (more for management responsibilities preferred)
  • ExoCAD trained
  • Familiarity with digital workflows and 3D printing
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to lead, support, and motivate a team
  • Confident decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities
  • Creative, detail‑oriented, and committed to high‑quality work
