Associate Dentist – NHS & Private

Scottish Borders (commutable from Edinburgh)

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, independent dental practice in the Scottish Borders region due to continued expansion.

This is a modern, non-corporate practice with a strong NHS base and genuine scope for private dentistry, offering excellent clinical support and long-term stability.

The Practice:

  • Established 6-surgery dental practice
  • Friendly, experienced clinical and nursing team
  • Fully computerised (SOE Exact)
  • Digital X-rays, OPG, rotary endodontics
  • Intra-oral scanner
  • Implants and adult orthodontics provided in-house
  • Dental therapist working within the practice
  • Approved VT training practice with mentoring available

The Role:

  • Full-time or part-time associate position
  • Predominantly NHS with high private potential
  • Flexible working pattern considered
  • Suitable for:
  • Experienced NHS associates
  • Dentists with an existing Scottish list number or performer number
  • PLVE / VT-equivalent candidates seeking structured mentoring

Remuneration & Benefits:

  • 50% split for associates with performer or Scottish list number
  • 45% split for PLVE / VT-equivalent candidates
  • NHS recruitment allowance of up to £25,000 available for candidates with an existing Scottish list number or performer number
  • Excellent earning potential with realistic annual income of £80,000 – £120,000+ depending on sessions and experience
