Full job description

We are looking for a motivated and organised Distribution Centre Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our busy distribution centre. Working closely with the Distribution Centre Manager, you will help lead warehouse teams, ensure operational targets are achieved, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional with strong leadership skills who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Distribution Centre Manager in the daily running of warehouse operations.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse colleagues to achieve performance targets.
  • Monitor productivity, accuracy, and service levels, implementing improvements where required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage stock control, inventory accuracy, and goods in/out processes.
  • Coordinate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues efficiently.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre supervisory or management role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good knowledge of warehouse operations, stock management, and logistics.
  • Experience working with warehouse stock management systems.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.

The role is Full-time working Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday required.
