Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of innovative software solutions across diverse projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in translating business requirements into scalable, efficient, and high-quality technical architectures. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic team, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and cloud platforms to deliver robust solutions that meet organisational objectives.

Duties

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse detailed project requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Design comprehensive system architectures utilising best practices in cloud architecture, microservices, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and system design principles.
  • Develop detailed technical specifications, including UML diagrams and design patterns, to guide development teams.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Ember.js), and front-end/back-end development tools.
  • Oversee the integration of APIs, web services (REST, SOAP), and third-party platforms like Salesforce, WordPress, and WebSphere.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC processes including continuous integration (CI/CD), release management, and DevOps practices using tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Git, SVN, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Provide guidance on cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure for scalable deployment solutions.
  • Establish standards for code quality and security compliance across projects while promoting best practices in system design and development methodologies.
  • Mentor development teams on design patterns, system architecture principles, and emerging technologies to foster professional growth.
  • Maintain documentation of architecture decisions and ensure seamless communication across technical teams.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with cloud architecture frameworks such as AWS or Azure.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Java, C#, Python, C++, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, Ember.js.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, XML, JSON; familiarity with web design principles is advantageous.
  • Expertise in designing scalable systems using microservices architecture with tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Deep knowledge of databases such as MySQL, SQL Server (Microsoft SQL Server), Oracle (PL/SQL), NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
  • Experience with enterprise application development using .NET framework (.NET Core), MVC pattern, Entity Framework; familiarity with WebSphere or Weblogic is beneficial.
  • Skilled in API development/restful services (REST/SOAP), WCF services and integration techniques.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools including Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines; version control systems such as Git or SVN; build tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • Familiarity with system security standards including HTTPS protocols and secure API design.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into effective technical solutions. This role requires a proactive professional capable of leading complex projects while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for innovation in technology solutions coupled with excellent communication skills to articulate architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
