Please note: This is a fully office-based position. Applicants should be located within a reasonable commuting distance of the office to ensure they can reliably travel to the workplace on a daily basis.

Company Overview

As part of the Davroc Group, Bard & Blackwood, based in Chichester, manufacture bespoke high end furniture using the finest quality materials from Ash to Zebrano.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating detailed designs and schematics for our innovative bathroom products. Your contributions will help us maintain our commitment to quality and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate 2D & 3D drawings for client approval and workshop manufacture.
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Interpret client drawings, sketches and briefs to create detailed joinery drawings.
  • Collaborate with designers and the production team to ensure design feasibility.
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback or changes from clients or the production team.
  • Maintain drawing standards and file management systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of estimates by extracting accurate BOM's from CAD drawings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CAD operative, ideally in a bespoke joinery or interior fit-out environment.
  • Proficient in CAD software, ideally in SolidWorks or a similar package.
  • Strong understanding of joinery construction methods, materials, and production processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Good communication and team-working skills.
  • Estimating experience or willingness to support estimating functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
