Full job description
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure focus) to help replicate deployment of a cloud platform to Azure. The goal is to create infrastructure-as-code to replicate an existing Azure platform into a new, isolated region (no shared services), reverse-engineering the current environment that was not built with IaC. Author reusable modules, and stand-up CI/CD pipelines to provision, test, and validate. Build comprehensive test coverage and operational runbooks for handoff to a separate deployment/operations team, collaborating closely with security, networking, and application SMEs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain global platform and it’s IaaC using DevOps best practices to continually advance our capabilities and recommend innovative enhancements.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Implement containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Optimize and manage cloud infrastructure on platform of Azure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, Datadog.
- Enforce and enhance security protocols and best practices to safeguard GenAI systems and data.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices for DevOps methodologies.
- Participate in technical reviews, contributing to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document processes, configurations, and architectures to maintain clarity and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in DevOps, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with Azure.
- Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to lead projects.
