Position: Digital Developer

Salary: £45,074 per annum

Hours: Permanent, full time 37hrs per week

Location: Birmingham/Hybrid – minimum two days a week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on required systems development, providing an efficient, reliable, and effective digital service.
  • Lead on application changes, developing data extracts, building various processes and improving business data workflows on all systems.
  • Drive or assist relevant projects through the development life cycle, ensuring the solutions are technically sound, meet functional and operational requirements, and are delivered on time.
  • Work with the latest technologies to deliver complex and wide-ranging organisational efficiencies and change.

Qualifications and experience:

  • An Agile, Prince 2 or similar project management qualification (Desirable)
  • Educated to Degree level or proven experience
  • Some experience of providing technical specifications and successful delivery of ICT and business projects
  • Knowledge and experience of Housing Management systems, preferably ActiveH, interfacing systems, processes, and scripting
  • Ability to adapt to an everchanging technical landscape
  • Ability to stay ahead of the technical curve and learn new skills
  • A passion for technology
  • A team player who is highly motivated, likes to ask questions and is comfortable being customer facing

As a Digital Developer you will be responsible for all technical aspects undertaken by the ICT Solutions team. You will be expected to provide technical specifications and carry out the changes for multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and challenges, therefore an excellent ability to plan, prioritise and communicate is essential. A positive and ‘can do’ attitude is essential along with an ability to problem solve in a pressurised environment.
